Halo 3 Collector's EditionStrengths: It is Halo Universe Weakness: Scratched discs due to its poor packaging I love Halo series, mainly because its tight storyline and its great gameplay. This edition has an additional disc which includes some behind story stuffs which are related to Halo series and Halo 3 development stories. its a nice addition to standard edition. But this edition's big problem is its scratched discs coming from its poor package. When I opened it, both discs had some scratches, but they are playable. Other people complained this situation a lot, so MS decided exchange defective discs for new ones. But remember you have to pay shipping and wait about a month to get a new disc. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A great end to a great trilogyStrengths: Great multiplayer, Forge is a nice touch, some interesting extras on bonus DVD Weakness: Packaging quality Halo 3 is an excellent entrance of the Halo franchise to the current generation of consoles. Too bad it's also the end of the series. It has a solid campaign, multiplayer to keep you playing a while down the road, and playing around in the Forge, plopping things down wherever, can be fun. The only thing about the Collector's Edition is that its packaging is bulky and of inferior quality, especially when compared to the packaging of the Perfect Dark Zero Collector's Edition. Three months after first getting the game, the disc suddenly became unreadable. Luckily, Microsoft has the disc replacement program in place, and I was able to resume gaming barely two weeks later. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Halo 3Strengths: fun muliplayer Weakness: kinda slow game play Game started out great, but after a while its getting kind of boring. The online play is fun with the vehicles and such. the original halo was much better. this one just seems like its missing something... Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Halo 3 Collector's Edition for Xbox 360Strengths: Fun multiplayer Weakness: Game is losing interest The Halo series has been a fun and entertaining one. I've logged many hours with Halo 2 online, but Halo 3 just doesn't seem to draw me in. I've tried playing a few times, but I get bored for no longer than 10 minutes. It seems that Call of Duty 4 seems to appeal to me more. Nonetheless, Halo 3 has great graphics and it has great gameplay, something that might appeal to other gamers. Halo 3 Collector's Edition (XB360): Good Game But...Strengths: Excellent graphics (need HDTV) and sound, fluid game play, good multi-player/online playing value Weakness: Graphics not optimized for non-HD TV, so-so (somewhat short) single-player story line, buggy bumper jumper controller mode, POOR PACKAGING: SCRATCHED DISKS DUE TO DVDs COMING LOOSE AGAINST METAL BOX The most anticipated game of the year--Halo 3 delivers in its graphics/sound and game play (especially multi-player/online play). Although the single player story line is somewhat short and disappointing, its multi-player/online play more than make up for this lack thereof. New weapons and vehicles also add fun and variety. This game is not without defects, however. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that the disks came loose from the disk holders and were already scratched (quite heavily) against the inside of the metal box. The scratched disks still play, but imagine getting this for a gift! (BTW, I found out Microsoft provides free scratched disk replacements till February 2008, so I sent them in: but it has been 2 weeks and I still have not received the replacements yet). Secondly, the graphics need to be tweaked and viewed on HDTV in order to be good: it seems like Microsoft/Bungie did not optimize this game for normal (non-HD) TVs. Finally, the bumper jumper controller mode appears to have some bug: the reload button does not work. I ended up switching back to default controller mode. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Excellent overall game that expands on originals.Strengths: Solid gameplay, great graphics and sound. Excellent replayability, espececially with others. Weakness: Solo play is not as exciting as network play. XBOX Live networking can have issues. (These are minor nitpicks) An excellent game overall, a solid product from the Halo line of games. Halo 3Strengths: Gameplay, Graphics, Multiplayer Weakness: short story mode Halo 3 is one of the most anticipating piece of media in entertainment history. Heck, it shattered all sales record for any entertainment item including box-office, cd's, dvd's...etc. So how does the most hyped game ever turned out. Well, it may depend on which aspect of the game you enjoyed the most: story mode or online matches. The gameplay remains basically the same. There are some new weapons, vehicles, control-layout, and balancing tweaks. The story mode is short. You can probably breeze through the game one in 6-8 hours---even on Heroic or Legendary. The online battle mode on Live is a different story. There new maps, weapons, weapon-balancing, and mode. You can now customize your appearance to your style---with armors and helmets you unlock the more you play. There is also a new mode: Forge where you can mess around with each map. It not totally a map-editor in the traditional sense but does offer an unique experience for Live. Overall, Halo 3 does live up to its hype despite the length of its story mode. Bungie still has it.Strengths: Good length to Campaign storyline. Above average gameplay, replay value. Mutliplayer. Stats viewable online. Weakness: Still some problems with multiplayer concerning the Melee attacks. Game gives me Taurets syndrome! I have played Halo since it was first released for the original Xbox and have always been a 'fanboy' of the game. With each new Halo, Bungie comes up with just enough to make the game new again, but it was the original Halo that still has the best gameplay. Halo 3, so far, is great to play online in multiplayer as there are currently no cheats, mods, superbounces, et al that plaqued Halo 2 to the point of insanity. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Most realized multiplayer experience yetStrengths: Action packed single player, robust multiplayer Weakness: Graphics don't amaze you as much as you thought they would What's left to say about Halo 3? Everyone says its awesome, you've heard its awesome and if you like first person shooters at all this is definitely and experience to pick up. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Halo 3 | Limited Edition
Halo 3 is one of the most anticipated games for 2007 as the series that defined the Xbox makes its debut onto the next generation successor. This third installment marks the conclusion of the Halo trilogy and ending of this particular story arc. Bungie has been developing the game for over 3 years and in a marked difference from other Microsoft Game Studios titles is using their own engine as... Top

Finish the fight (what, too cliche?)
Strengths: It's Halo...you all know it. Fantastic Multiplayer.
Weakness: Not nearly as good if you don't have a LIVE Gold subscription.
This is Halo. You already know if you like Halo. You probably already BOUGHT Halo. For those that didn't, ask yourself: Do I have a Gold LIVE account and like to play FPS games? If you answered no to either, you may want to hold off, but if yes to both, go pick this up. From the one on one matches of Lone Wolf to large team affairs in Big Team Battle, to the four player campaign co-op, to customizable matches with friends, to a map editor that lets you edit and play simultaneously (oh, and you can upload and share your custom maps too), to video and picture recording and sharing... this is an online gamer's dream. Sadly, without the online components, the game is merely a good, but not great, FPS. If your going to be playing only single player campaign, pick up Bioshock. But if you want to play online, there are few better choices, and none with more options.
