Good sound for the average listener, doesn't offer...Strengths: Decent sound quality, very good for smaller rooms, nice design Weakness: No HDMI audio passthrough, system seems slow to react, future compatibility hampered by lack of BD/HD-DVD. This is a pretty decent HTIB system if you need something smaller (and with a lot less punch) for the bedroom or guest room. Living/dining rooms are way too big to appreciate any sound from this package. It's very easy to get it up and running, though I wish it were supplied with an HDMI cable. The movie mode (DPL2 Movie) is pretty good for regular TV activity as well as movies (duh!) Other than that, don't expect this system to blow your socks off and isn't all that great for listening to my preferred genres of music - trance and house, which is pretty much expected when dealing with a low-end HTIB. But with deals popping up every month that keep the price around the $200-250 mark, the system gets high scores in the value-for-money segment. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Sony home theaterStrengths: Great performance for the price, easy to install, nice look, easy to attach external device like laptop. Weakness: There is no audio cable just a video cable to connect to TV. Overall it is a good player with 5 disc changer. Preferred this over non-dvd player system. The color combination giving it a good look. Yet not figure out how to remove particular disc out of 5. 45% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

The most affordable of Sony’s BRAVIA DAV-HDX home theatre systems, the DAV-HDX265 also boasts the fewest features. While it still features a 1080p upscaling 5-CD/DVD changer with HDMI output and full 5.1 surround sound, it lacks the S-AIR wireless speaker technology of all the other players in the line (for $30 more, the DAV-HDX275 player supports S-AIR, and wireless speakers can be... I'm Loving It!
Strengths: Feel the Drum, Heartbeat and Vibration in you!
Weakness: No Audio pass through HDMI.
I just bought the last one during Black Friday for only $199.99 at Best Buy! When I set this up, its really easy to do right out of the box. I played TRANSFORMERS: The Moive on DVD Player with HDMI upscaler. I was amazed of how cool it was! I also played Apocalypto on PS3 BD Player and pretty like it that much! Finally, I played Saw Trilogy on DVD Player with HDMI upscaler. That part was so scary and makes me feel like I'm in the scene. Overall, this player is a must have if you can afford this price for your movie entertainment!
