Cobra XRS 9600 Radar/Laser DetectorStrengths: It seems to function. Weakness: I haven't read the user's manual yet but why I have to calibrate the compass? I don't know much about it yet but for an $80 plus shipping, it is pricey. The hook to mount the detector is very hard to push in. The press-on mounting plastic suction cups don't look like they are designed to last! I'm very reserved at this point but it seems to work! 0% of readers found this review helpful. Cobra XRS 9600 Radar/Laser DetectorStrengths: none Weakness: Everything had one, rolled up to a police unit hiding behind a tree. The detector went off when i saw him. He gave me a ticket. Cobra XRS9600 Radar DetectorStrengths: Seems to be sensitive to radar. I like the compass feature. Weakness: The bright/dim feature could be on a photo-electric eye. The coiled cord is a little short, but stretches enough. The top is silver which reflects onto the windshield. Flat black would be better. Easy to program or use factory settings. Compass is easy to calibrate to magnetic north. I like the bright dim / button and intellimute features. The compass would be better if it could be set to true north. Strengths: Easy to use
Weakness: Cord to short
The cord could be longer but other than that it has already saved me from a ticket. Have a different radar in other car but this one has more and is a better one for the money.
