Corsair RAMStrengths: Cheap. Dependable. Weakness: None so far. I've been using this for 2 months on a Dell Dimension 8400. Works fine on dual channel. No problems so far. Definitely cheaper than getting memory upgrades from Dell. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Corsair DDR2 PC4200 1gb kitStrengths: 1gb, price Weakness: none yet I just received my Corsair DDR2 PC4200 1gb kit. It made my Dell 4700 significantly faster (my own perception). Delivery was quick (3 days). Install was easy (under 5 min). Even the price of $83 made me happy. This memory is a big bang for your buck. I say go for it. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory ModuleStrengths: It is the cheapest DDR2 memory in the market. Weakness: Poor Package. The 1G DDR2 memory fits into my Dell 4700 desktop perfectly. Now I have 1.5G memory totally and my PC runs pretty fast. I do not see any problem reported by the first reviewer. I think probablly his installation got some problem. 83% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory ModuleStrengths: Cheap Weakness: Slow I bought this Corsair RAM for a PC I bult: a 3 GHz P4 w/Hyper Threading. The MOBO is an ASUS P5GD2 Dexlues and the hard drive is a Western Digital Raptor. I expected my computer to be incredibly fast with this setup. Unfortunately, it's been anything but. I got so frustrated with the whole thing that I bought a new Dell Dimension 4700 instead with 512 MB RAM. That Dell smoked my custom machine. A friend suggested I try the Dell (Samsung) RAM in my custom machine and I realized the culprit was indeed the Corsair RAM. Just to be sure, I bought PCMark04 to benchmark the two configurations and it confirmed that this Corsair RAM is indeed much slower than the stock RAM that comes with a cheap Dell Dimension 4700. Fortunately, I bought it with my American Express and will be using the return protection benefit because it's past the vender return policy period. I'm going to by Kinston or Crucial instead. 77% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Apr 15, 2005 If RAM is advertised as running at certain speed, it will run at that speed. Something else could of easily caused this problem besides the RAM, it was a custom job, BIOS settings could of been wrong for his hardware, or even in need of being updated. I wouldn't let something like this scare you away from a deal like this. I've bought RAM from corsair before: running great, and saved me a good bit too. In use right now.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory ModuleStrengths: Excellent price for reliable, brand-name memory. Weakness: Packaging provides little protection for shipping. Request that it not be shipped in a soft-sided envelope. I have installed the memory in a Dell 4700 with excellent results. The matched 512 MB modules allow for dual channel operation. Have run several diagnostics on the RAM with no errors or problems. I would rate it higher if the packaging was more protective. 60% of readers found this review helpful. good memory for my 8400Strengths: stable, no problem at all in my 8400 Weakness: if it could be cheaper I installed it in my 8400. Works very well. I purchased it from zipzoomfly. The package is ok, but not that solid. I did not check the performance of this memory, but I can feel my machine becomes faster compared to another machine which has only 512mb ddr2 memory. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory Module
Strengths: Very good price. Very reliable memory.
Weakness: Poor packaging.
The memory is very reliable. It works great in my Dell SC420. I have not noticed any slowness of the memory or the machine. This memory allows the PC to take the full advantage of the dual channel operations
