Velbon 607 Tripod is Good Value

Strengths: Fluid Panhead, cost, and weight.

Weakness: A lot of plastic. The tripod seems a bit fragile.

For the price, I could not find another tripod offering a fluid head. Some advertise as "fluid-LIKE".
The fluid head is smooth when panning. The tripod is light enough to carry around yet not too light as to efect my videos. I use the tripod for video-taping my son's 5th grade basketball games. For this it is fine. If you plan to use a tripod frequently or professionally, you should probably look to spend a lot more money (Bogen comes to mind).
