At $10+ for 50 feet of tape, this is an expensive option to hand-writing a label..but for neatness it can't be beat.
In the early days peeling the back off the tape was a nightmare. I found it could take several minutes to seperate the tape from the backing. However, Brother has fixed that. Some tapes have backing that is about 1/32" narrower than the tape; but the last batch of TZ231 I purchased used "crack 'n peel". That is, the backing is actually two, side-by-side, strips, and it is a simple matter of folding the label to remove the backing. Nice move, Brother!

Strengths: EZ peel backing
Weakness: Very pricey!
