AC powerlines-----Antenna for NoiseStrengths: very good AC filtering Weakness: none that i can see or hear... it works i've been using the HTS-1000 for quite a few weeks now and i'm still impressed with its performance. i noticed a nice improvement in standard and HD picture quality, less graininess, added screen brightness and improved colour (no smearing). i have a Panasonic 43" LCD rear projection HDTV, low profile, and i love it. my home theater was always clean sounding but it's nice knowing that all my AV devices are receiving noiseless AC power and surge protection as well. 88% of readers found this review helpful. Dec 10, 2005 i have since writing this review purchased another HTS1000 for my second home theater setup. this one uses a standard JVC 32" TV and i will say that the addition of the HTS1000 was a very worthwhile investment.

Dec 3, 2006 i enjoy reading other reviews reguarding the HTS 1000. i can see others are as satisified as i am. Monster did a wonderful job on this unit. it was worth every dime of what i spent for two.

Monster Cable MP HTS1000 Reference Power CenterStrengths: Ample outlets - color coded, therefore easy to set-up. If it needs to be exposed, it is good-looking. Weakness: None, except it took about 20 minutes to free it from the plastic package. The Power Center arrived in perfect condition. Color coded outlets with corresponding color coded and labeled sticky strips to attach to each component's wiring make the set-up easy. I agree this Power Center is SWEET.Strengths: Have 2 of these units one connected to my home office and one to my stereo system. Weakness: None, It does a GREAT Job. Weakness: none I'd just received this 4 days ago. BUYER BEWAREStrengths: For the money, you should feel like your equipment is safe Weakness: See below. I would actually like to give this a 1.5 star review. It doesn't work anymore and I will not purchase again The surge protector worked for me for about 4 years--luckily, or unluckily, it is warranted for 5 years. First, regardless of warranty, it doesn't look good that my $200 power strip that I hook to my high end stereo system bit the dust (started buzzing like a loud kitchen timer that you cant turn off) before it turned 5 years old whereas my $20 power strip that I have my main tv and less expensive stereo on has been going strong for at least 6 years. The MP-HTS1000 is a must BUY!!!!!!!Strengths: After buying my 50in Plazma this is a perfect way to protect this investment along with the rest of my hi end home theater gear. Power CenterStrengths: See below. Weakness: A bit pricey. A simple but effective device that is great for your new TV system. Helps to ensure your sound and picture is great and also gives you some nice connections you may need. Also helps to protect your equipment from surges. Monster Power Strip HTS1000Strengths: Heavy Duty, plenty of outlets, easily labeled Weakness: Cost, weight Was hoping I could easily mount this one to the wall, but based on how heavy it is that might be difficult. It does have plenty of connectors and outlets though and the warranty is great should you ever need it. Monster Cable MP-HTS1000 Reference Power CenterStrengths: amply sufficient outlets, easy to identify as it is color coded. Weakness: Heavy I think it's a good purchase considering the amount we spent to buy big screen TV. I don't see any major difference in picture quality, but my TV/DVD/ Receiver is protected. Monster Cable MP-HTS1000
Strengths: Covers all your basic connections to your Home Theater. All Connections are clearly labelled and you can change them if you want. There protection for RJ-45 and phone line inputs.
Weakness: None I can think of.
It has definitely made it easier to identify what's connected where with the use of color coded labels. No more trying to follow that cable back to it's source to see what's connected there.
I like the sturdy construction too. Monster has done a great job once more. There are other coices within the Monster line if have more connections, but this is a good middle of the road unit.
