Samsung SPH-A680 Dual Slot Desktop ChargerStrengths: Charges phone a lot faster than the charger that came with the phone. Weakness: NA I think the charger is very Convenient and practical. Samsung SPH-A680 Dual Slot Desktop ChargerStrengths: CHARGES QUICKLY, CONVENIENTLY. HAS A SLOT FOR BACKUP (EXTRA) BATTERY. Weakness: AT FIRST, COULDN'T TELL IF IT WAS CHARGING OR NOT. CAN'T TALK AND CHARGE AT SAME TIME. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A DESKTOP CHARGER FOR MY CELL PHONE FOR A LONG TIME. THIS MODEL IS GREAT, ALTHOUGH A BIT EXPENSIVE. IT CHARGES A BACKUP BATTERY AS WELL AS YOUR PHONE. AT FIRST, I COULDN'T TELL IF IT WAS ACTUALLY WORKING, SINCE IT DIDN'T COME WITH DIRECTIONS. I THINK WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, THE PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED. BUT YOUR PHONE DOESN'T BLINK OR ANYTHING WHILE IT'S IN. ALSO, IT'S GOOD THAT THE PHONE ACTUALLY SITS AND STAYS PUT IN THE CRADLE, AND DOESN'T MOVE AROUND EASILY. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR THE VM/SPH-A680 SAMSUNG PHONE. Samsung SPH-A680 Dual Slot Desktop Charger
Strengths: Charges 2 batteries simultaneously, works with extended life batteries, fast charging
Weakness: Snapping phone into charger can be a little tricky at first
My wife and I both have Samsung A680 phones. This is an excellent charger for us because both of us can charge up our phone at the same time if necessary. It can also be used to charge up a spare battery without being attached to a phone. I've seen other dual chargers simliar to this one that held two batteries but only charged one battery at a time in sequence. This charger charges both batteries simultaneously and it's fast. It will charge an extended life A680 battery from completely dead to completely charged in about 2.5 hours. Less if there's some juice in the battery when you put it on the charger. If you charge two batteries at the same time one needs to be removed from the phone and inserted into the lower charger slot but the other can be left on the phone. You just snap the phone onto the top of the charger to start the charging process. Charging is indicated by a red light (one for each charger slot). Once the light turns green the battery is fully charged.
When I first got this charger my wife had a problem getting her phone seated correctly in the charger the first time she used it. After a few minutes the charger light started blinking which indicates a charging error. Reseating the phone fixed the problem. However, we've both used the charger several times since then and have not had any more problems seating the batteries in the charger. It may have just needed a little breaking in.
