compliments tv nicelyStrengths: works well with samsung tvs. Upconvert dvd player. Weakness: unconvential design. made as a display unit, not a conceiled shelf unit. This system works very well with the samsung 32" lcd tv I bought. The system is mounted remotely so I don't mind all the flashing lights. It does have the upconvert dvd player, so it has a great picture. Sound is great. It has a tuner and a optional usb port. $200-300 cheaper than the sony dream system. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sounds Good & Pretty but who really needs prettyStrengths: Sound quality is fine, speakers & subwoofer look good Weakness: dvd loads from the top, digital display annoying I bought this system basically because I bought a new DLP Samsung TV and they do look great together. I also wanted an easy set up and few wires. The problems that I had were that since the DVD slides in from the front you need about 24 inches of clearance to load dvds. I also was annoyed by the constant bright blue digital lights that are on the front of the dvd player. I basically had to hide the system behind the TV. A little expensive at around 380 bucks. You are paying for the sleek looks which is funny because you probably will stick it behind something due to that flashing light. 91% of readers found this review helpful. Great sound quality for the price (rivals 5.1...
Strengths: The sound quality is excellent! Nice features, such as HDMI connection.
Weakness: The DVD discs are loaded from the top of the system. Pricey for a 2.1 system.
I originally bought the Sony the fx900 dav Dream system but didn't like the sound quality and the unrealiable wireless rear speakers. I opted for a 2.1 system because I didn't want wires running through my house.
The Samsung was a great buy because their 2.1 system was so clear that it rivaled many of the 5.1 systems that I heard. The twin towers offer clear and crisp sound without having to put speakers all around your house. Also they have a unique surround sound technology that mimicks a 5.1 system. To be fair, it wasn't as good as a Bose or Denon but considering that it's less than half the cost and comparable in sound quality it was a great deal.
The only thing that worries me a bit, is that the floor model I saw at BestBuy had a DVD stuck in the unit that even the sales manager couldn't get out.
All in all, I highly recommend it.
