Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: the graphics on this game are the best!!!!!! You can't beat the way the players, the fields, and the stadiums look. Ea Sports is really stepping up there qaulity of games.

Weakness: They controlls were hard to get use to but other than that there are no other weaknesses. They should try to make the game controlls a little easier to understand. The other teams if very hard!!!!

I think that this is the best football game of the year!!!! You qon't find any game like this. EA really stepped it up on MADDEN 2005

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: I like that you have to manage everything from the cost of peanuts to the players emotions.

Weakness: Quarterback doesn't fumble when he really does. Computer never gets called on pass interference.

All in all I think this is a great game with all the new amenities. I do feel that if and when the next madden comes out that they need to improve on the items listed above. It's more real, but when it comes to computer players, it cheats like crazy. One guy with no hands out blocks two guys to stop a sack for the quaterback...NOT possible!

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: Good game play and much better defense. Online play is great too.

Weakness: somewhat slow on the response for juke moves to me, might just be getting use to the new season though.

Great game. Just started back playing Madden last year, and every year this game gets better and better. Way to go EA on another great football year. Cover a lot of the real NFL life into a video game.

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: Teriffic graphics with many options.

Madden 2005 has teriffic graphics and many options for gameplay. This version contains a number of options not available in the regular version. I would highly recommend purchasing the collector's edition instead of the regular edition.

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: Covers all aspects of the the real NFL. Many extras such as previous Madden games.

Weakness: Sometimes gameplay is somewhat slow.

Online game is one of the best facets of the game. would highly recommend to any sports fan. You can play someone in the next town or someone across the country.

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: Good game play and much better defense. Online play is great too. Great features!

Weakness: Quarterback doesn't fumble when he really does. Computer never gets called on pass interference. Running with the ball is hard to control at times.

If you love the past Maddens this is a fantastic game to bring back those old memories of game systems past. Madden 2005 has teriffic graphics and many options for gameplay. This version contains a number of options not available in the regular version. I would highly recommend purchasing the collector's edition instead of the regular edition.

Madden 2005: CE

Strengths: More stuff than regular edition, awesome upgrades from last year, excellent depth of plays, the ability to manage everything

Weakness: Announcers

If you've liked Madden games in the past, get ready to be blown away. Usually the games have always been offense oriented, being able to call audibles, options, etc. Finally, they've made adjustments to the defense. The defense can also call audibles, do hot-routes, adjust players coverage areas, etc. It's amazing all the finer details you can control if you so desire.

The gameplay is what you'd expect out of a Madden game. You have your hard hits, explosive passes and just overall great quality.

Just like last year, you get to control everything about managing the team. You can raise ticket prices, organize events, scout players, trade, relocate stadiums, etc. What you can control is only limited by how much work you want to put into it.

My only complaint is the same compplaint I have about every sports game. The announcers! As with every other sports title out there, the sports casters have the same set of things they say over and over and over again. However, this is easily looked beyond with the high quality, high caliber game presented by EA this year. I think any sports fan should pick this up, and definately pick up the Collector's edition over the regular edition.

typical madden quality

Strengths: great gameplay and extras

Weakness: the usual small nitpicky stuff

Again, this game does a great job of recreating football. The gameplay is solid and the extras are great. I love getting the old versions of madden as well, it takes me back to when I was younger as well as shows me how far the series really has come. The load heavy game is slower on PS2 than Xbox, but it still is a great game and worthy of a purchase.

Madden 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: More defensive audibles and adjustments (more realistic), addition of 3 classic editions of Madden Football

Weakness: Graphics are starting to look a little dated

Madden NFL Football is still the reigning champ. With the addition of more audibles and adjustments for the defense, the game is a lot more balanced than in previous years. Add on the excellent array of game modes and game play as the previous editions of Madden Football (i.e., online modes, playbooks, audibles, moves, etc.) and again, this is the total package.

The only drawback that I can find with this game is the graphics engine. It is beginning to look a little dated and it may be time for another graphical enhancement/overhaul for the Madden Football series. Otherwise, this is a great game and I will continue to purchase it every year.

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Strengths: Awesome graphics

Weakness: None

As per my 11 year old son who uses the game: "You can definately tell the difference between collector's edition and the regular Madden! A huge upgrade from the 2004 Madden. Better quality games and graphics and a great new hit stick. The game offers Madden moments (which is like NCAA football 2004 college classics); Triva; old Madden games; New mini games (such as rushing attack, which is like you taking turns with your friend or the computer being the people in chase and tackle and being the people in rushing attack like the two mini camps in Madden 2004); in the franchise you can read e-mails, read two different kinds of newspapers, create a stadium, set up concession stands and create a fan."
Highly recommended. No faults or flaws!

Madden NFL 2005

In order to celebrate 15 years of football glory, EA has blessed PlayStation gamers with Madden NFL 2005. Not only is Madden 2005 the best Madden yet, but for PS2 owners, the collector's edition features an amazingly generous serving of special features, all for only $10 more than the stand-alone version of Madden NFL 2005.

Madden NFL 2005 Collector's Edition

Fifteen years is a long time but in video games 15 years seems like an eternity. But for football fans the Madden name has proven that time creates great results. The name Madden means more than just John Madden the announcer. For gamers the name Madden is the king of football gaming. Madden is the brand other football games are compared to, whether fair or unfair. No matter what any other...

Madden NFL 2005 Collectors Edition

In one year, EA Sports has done more to right the wrongs of Madden's gameplay past than in any time in the illustrious series' history. Play Madden NFL 2005 once, and you might notice the big hits and how aware all of the defenders are on the gridiron. Play it five times and you'll realize how defensive hot routes completely even out the field and that for the first time, maybe in any football...
