NS-AW150 Yamaha

Strengths: Good range of frequencies, good highs with enough bass

Weakness: grilles don't come off, no biggy. no speakerwire

I have these hooked to a sony 945 reciever, it's rated at 110 watts RMS. Of course I don't give it all it's got but you don't need to. They are extremely loud and sound excellent. I was very impressed for $65. I know how music should sound and you will not be disappointed in these.

One major advantage in this price range is the fact that they go down to 55hz. The majority of the ones I looked at were 80-90hz. I even saw this same model on other sites that say they r 80hz. The pair I got from Etronics is 55hz.

Yamaha NS-AW150 Outdoor Speakers - White

Strengths: Strong sound, easy installation, small footprint

Weakness: none seen as of yet

I have owned the Yamaha NS-150 Speakers for about one month. The speakers were very easy to install, came with all the parts necessary to do so, and have performed well in the outdoor location they were placed. The speakers have held up well in terrible weather conditions in the Northeast over the last month. The sound quality from these speakers is excellent and based upon my experience thus far, I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality outdoor speaker.

Yamaha NSAW150 outdoor Speakers

Strengths: Very Good packaging and sounds great

Weakness: Would be nice if the mounting bracket could swival horizontally as well as vertically.

The package came with everything that you would ever need. It included (a) a mounting bracket that could be mounted on a flat surface (vert or horizontal)or to an electrical box with a standard threaded opening; (b) an adapter to enable speaker to stand upright on a flat surface; and (c) A safety wire to secure the speaker in case the mounting screws got loose. The Logo can be rotated for vert or horiz speaker placement. The speaker connections can accomodate banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wire. The speaker housing is well made. No complaints except that it would be really nice if the brackets could adjust in the horiz as well as vert plane.

Impressed!

Strengths: Sound quality is excepetional. Build materials is excellent.

Weakness: Had a hard time mounting.

I'm very impressed with these speakers. They went to replace an older model and you can really tell the difference. The sound is of great quality and you can really raise the level on these. I mounted them on the ceiling of my patio and I did have a little trouble, but with some effort I was able to secure it to the ceiling. They look water proof, but I didn't take any chances and hid them from the elements. I've been having them for a month now and no issues what so ever!

Great sound

Strengths: Sound quality Compact size

Weakness: Lack of both horizontal and vertical adjustments

These speakers sound great, especially for the price. The only complaint I have is that you can't tilt them in both directions. However, I was able to build an angled mount for them to meet my needs. I'd recommend these to friends in a heartbeat.

Great Speakers at Great Price

Strengths: Great Sound @ Great Price, Perfect Size, Easy to Install, Expected Durability

Weakness: Somewhat limited positioning options on mounting brackets

I purchased a pair of Yamaha outdoor speakers several years ago for my upper deck. Over the years of sun and rain, the speakers have help up well and still have a great sound. When refinishing our lower deck area, I did not hesitate to again select Yamaha speakers.

These speakers have a great sound for their smaller size, allowing me to place them on the pillars. The installation was very simple requiring only about 15-30 minutes of time. The only issue I had was the limiting position options, it is either L-R for horizontal placement, or Up-Down for vertical. Not a huge deal for speakers at this price range, but something to keep in mind as you plan placement.

Excellent sound and price

Strengths: attractive design, nice depth of sound, easy to install, lightweight

Weakness: can only swivel direction along one plane, didn't come with mounting screws

I bought these speakers to replace some aging Bose 151s. I'm very pleased with the value and sound provided by these speakers. They are very attractive and were easy to install. I would definitely recommend this item.

Great for the price!

Strengths: Sound is very good for outdoor use. Price was very competitive.

Weakness: If mounted on eve's, cannot swivel right to left.

These speakers are an upgrade for a pair I bought 10 years ago. They have a much deeper sound. Now I can hear bass as opposed to just trebble. A great buy for the price.
