Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Great cursor control

Weakness: None

I've read the others, don't know what they are talking about! This thing practically installs itself. No problems whatsoever as long as you connect to the USB port on the computer and not on a hub!!! I'm connected to my front USB port, the transmitter is behind closed doors and I have never lost my cursor. I did have problems when connected to the USB port on my monitor. I think this port goes to sleep when your monitor does, therefore, no cursor.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Works just like my original (corded) Logitech Trackman trackball except it has no cord.

Weakness: Cannot open the TrackMan to clean inside. (I could do this with my original (corded) Trackman.)

The cordless Logitech Trackman trackball is simple to use, reliable, and comfortable. Because you can rest your hand on the Trackman while navigating on your computer (you control the Trackman with your thumb), wrist and arm strain are eliminated. The only negative is that you cannot open the Trackman to clean the internal mechanism when the trackball gets dirty. (I know this because I had a cordless Logitech Trackman trackball at work.) This is a minor inconvenience.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Great ergonomics. Easy to clean.

Weakness: None.

This is my fourth Logitech trackball and my second of this model (for work). Love it! If you spend a lot of time on the computer, this is the only way to go.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Wireless. Logitec quality. Ergonomic design.

Weakness: None

I have been using the trackman marble (Wired) for years. I have stayed with the wired version because of the reported response issues with using wireless for gaming. I initially purchased this wireless version for home office use, but decided to try it on my 2 newest games (Half Life II, Doom III) and have had flawless play so far. I will be buying a second TrackMan RF (wireless) to replace my aging TrackMan Marble.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Smooth, good tracking

Weakness: Not as ergonomic as older Trackmen

I've been using Logitech Trackman products for over 8 years. When my last one broke and I needed one in a hurry, I got a Microsoft trackball. Big mistake. The software hosed Win2k and the ball was sticky. I kept it only long enough for the Cordless Trackman to arrive.

The Mouseware installed fine for me (XP) and everything is working great. Like all the marble products, the tracking is smooth, the feel is great, and the buttons are well-placed.

My only gripe is that the profile of all the newer Trackman products is higher than the old ones like the original Trackman Marble. For someone with tendinitis like me, the lower the better (less bend in the wrist). To be fair, trackballs I've tried from other companies are even higher.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Very good range, smooth cursor movement, trackball feel

Weakness: Line-by-line scrolling (not smooth)

I love this trackball; I always hated mice, having to move them al over the mousepad and not always being able to get to the edge of teh screen without picking up the mouse and moving it back to the pad. I now have 3 of these trackballs, one for each computer, and until Logitch makes a better one I wil continue to use them. Never had a problem with them.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Nice feel, even for a Southpaw like myself.

Weakness: you are destined to chase down the cursor when you least can afford the time, so be very long on time when you use this thing.

It took several tries to install the drivers and I still think they (the drivers) decide when they want to show up for work. I've had to wait for a steady and stable cursor so many times,I shut it down and used another system. No chance i will purchase this or another trackball ever again. This is the first disappointment with Logitech I've experienced.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Very smooth, nice responsitivity, no problems yet.

Weakness: Took me awhile to get use to the right and left button placement-they're on an angle.

The feel of the mouse is very natural, like holding a basketball or baseball. The ball is never sticky, unless the batteries are going dead. The scroll wheel is a little too sensitive sometimes, and not sensitive enough other times, but the batteries are usually to blame for that. No cords to mess with, and the receiver you get with it can also be used with other Logitech wireless mice, so if you dont like this one and have a different one lying around, just hit the reset button on the one you want to use. A very nice mouse, and alot easier to use once you get used to it. Your forearm won't get tired from all that moving the mouse while you play StarCraft, so now you'll only have to worry about Carpal Tunnel =).

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Easy instalation and set up. wireless ease of use

Weakness: Unit size will be hard fit for smaller hands. Not able to be used left handed.

Bought this as a replacment for my wireless mouse. Was very easy to set up and configure. Works fine but takes a little getting used to as the highlighting phase requires some dexterity to accomplish. For game playing this type of mouse is totally lacking as the directional movement is hard to control in a rapid enviornment.
When using everyday is great so long as resolution of monitor is large enough to be able to place cursor on box that wish to click. With highter resolutions it is somewhat difficult to align the curser to the item wished. Additionally when used for any long period of time your thumb gets very tired.

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Wireless, easy to use, comfortable

Weakness: Battery life on the mouse isn't good(wireless), price

I wouldn't suggest buying this mouse unless you need it to be wireless, because a wired one works the same, no mouse pad! I hated fiddling with the old mouse I had and it always got stuck. This one is great, but the price is really high because you need a battery to operate it and the initial price is unreasonable for a mouse. But otherwise, I love it!

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Trackball

Strengths: Give me a minute - I'm thinking ...

Weakness: Fairly difficult installation. Drivers sometimes twitchy. Ability to comply with warranty - Impossible!

Believe it or not, Logitech wanted me to take defective unit(s) to a "friend's" computer, load and try it there and THEN call back before they would consider replacing under 5 yr warranty. Told 'em I had two computers on my desk and it failed on both.

When this Thumb-ball does go bad IMMEDIATELY disconnect from your 'puter because it can really wreak havoc.
