Good investment for the money

Strengths: Good sound and good looking

Weakness: annoying beeping sound whenever key-off

This unit is value model in sony line-up, but does a job that it should do. Display is not fancy, but is big enough for easy readings. It also shows MP3 tags. Wiring took about an hour and 1/2 without wiring harness kit. Button's are a bit small, since it has detachable face. I personally don't like detachable face, since I don't use it. I wish it just had big buttons as factory stereo does. Color scheme is green buttons and blue disply, which is a bit boring. Not sure about the improvement over my factory stereo. My factory stereo did a quite a good job too. I purchased this because of MP3 and AUX jack for my ZUNE. So far so good.

17 watts per channel RMS x 4

Strengths: Rotary volume dial Front aux-jack Cuts power to the power antenna when CD or aux input is being used.

Weakness: No pre-amp output. No case for detachable faceplate.

Previously had a Sony CDX-CA710X which had 23 watts per channel RMS, but I wanted an inexpensive decent deck with a front aux-jack, and the CDX-GT210 fits the bill. The preset buttons are of reasonable size given the limitations of the 1/2 DIN chassis, and there is minimal loading time after inserting a CD. Sound quality is right up there with all the decks I've installed over the years, and I've tried most of the big store brands like Clarion, Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, and so on.

I just installed this thing in my girlfriend's car. I've installed decks before with no problem, but for some reason on this one, the auxilliary jack will only play out through the left speakers. The stereo will play out of all four. Do you have any ideas why?

Great stereo!

Strengths: Good price, easy installation

Weakness: None that I can think of.

Excellent brand name and stereo at an even better price. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an MP3/WMA capable stereo for their car. Very convenient auxiliary outlet for portable MP3 player hookup, as well.

A basic car stereo

Strengths: Price, Easy Installation, plays all kinds of CD's, auxillary in.

Weakness: Sound quality, No remote.

This a basic car stereo that plays all kinds of CD's with MP3, WMA. I tried using CDRW, CD-+R and everything worked straightway. I installed it myself with a harness picked up from the local store without being cutting the factory wires on my corolla. Auxillary in is a plus.

Not very good sound quality and no remote, but for the price you can't beat it and it is a sony.

If you are looking for a cheap car stereo with mp3 and wma, go for it.

Nice player; Affordable;

Strengths: Its a Sony ; Has an AUX input in the front for connecting my mp3 player;I got free 2 pairs of speakers with it

Weakness: Does come with a case for the detachable face plate

i Bought this system which was on sale and it came with the original Sony Xplod speakers with it I bought the whole package for replacing my old system in the car because i was having problems with it.I had spent a little on the installation though .The player looks good and perform's quite well when coupled with the sony speakers.
