Great Antenna!!Strengths: Picks up alot of channels Weakness: None I recently began using a converter box for my tv using a standard rabbit ears antenna. I was not picking up some of the channels I wanted, so I purchased a powered, amplified RCA antenna at WalMart. It was worthless, picking up fewer channels than the rabbit ears! So I bought this Terk antenna, and am thoroughly pleased! It picks up 22 channels, vs the 10 that the rabbit ears picked up. It's a great product and I highly recommend it! (And it's cheaper than the powered models at WalMart!) 86% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

It's the best choice!!!Strengths: Easy to install, good design, easy to carry, and high quality Weakness: none This antenna is a really good one. Instead of cable requesting, I decided to buy an antenna. Many people recommended to buy the TERK antenna. Now, I am very satisfied with its quality, and the purchasing decision. 86% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

GOOD Product for the PriceStrengths: I hace come accross this product in one of my friend palce. The excellent reception of this has motivated me to buy this product. Terk HDTV i antenna and youStrengths: Simple to hook up and set up. Excellent functionality with great signal strength with being 26 miles from the tower. Weakness: Size is large, base wobbles until your seat the cable deep in the groove in the base and the cable "relaxes" or takes memory to it's new postion. First things first. Consider your antenna needs carefully, do the research before you buy. Consider your broadcast antenna locations before considering your receiver antenna needs. Doing so will improve your results. 80% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: Cheap, easy to install, free HDTV Weakness: Thought it might have a power amplifier, F-Pin cable already attached (i.e. can't use a monster cable) Connected it to my TV (Sony KDFXS55 with built in HDTV tuner) and ran the auto program and voila: 12 HDTV broadcast channels! Of course a couple seem to be spanish only channels, but still get ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, WB, and 3 PBS channels. I also found it a lot cheaper on PriceGrabber than in the Best Buy store, which sold it for 10% more than even on their website! 78% of readers found this review helpful. Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: Brings in my locals channels as good if not better than Cable. Weakness: I haven't found any. If you need a perfect antenna for you T.V. this is the one..picture perfect reception, sound as good and possibly better than cable in all cases..picture and sound. This well save you a overly changed monthly bill from your local cable company. Hats off to Terk forgiving the public a antenna that out performs anything else on the market. 78% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: Provided me with results that were beyond my expectations Weakness: The coaxle cable is fixed - the cable is too long for my application I like to think of myself as an educated consumer. I do not make purchases, especially anything electronic, without first conducting extensive research via the web. As I conducted my research for this product, I found results covering the full spectrum from entirely negative to entirely positive. As such, I looked for other comparable products that had reviews that more consistently slanted positive. Based off of my findings, the only other product I seriously considered was the Zenith (aka Gemini) ZHDTV1. Since the ZHDTV1 was not available for me to purchase locally and I was anxious to get an OTA antenna to see how it worked, I purchased the TERK HDTVi with the thoughts that if it didn't work well I would just return it and order the ZHDTV1 online. No return was needed though, because this antenna worked very well for me. 68% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: Name brand; INDOOR antenna; Sleek; Stylish; Relatively inexpensive Weakness: signal quality/strength not as good as outdoor It's relatively cheap, and while signal quality and strength take a slight hit since it's not outdoors, the ease of use and setup easily make up for it. Would definitely recommend to anyone not wanting to go through the hassle of mounting an exterior antenna. 63% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good, but far from perfectStrengths: Price, size, rabbit ears can be kept down most of the time, "christmas tree" shaped antenna can be mounted 2 ways to fit your space. Good signal most of the time, when it feels like it. Weakness: When my wife and I really want to sit down and watch a show, the signal will crap out. If I walk in front of the TV, signal fades. Signal can be good and drop out for no apparent reason. Jensen & TERK are the same company. I did not know this and normally stear clear of Jensen, as a rule. But I heard good things about this antenna and decided to drop $40 on one. When the reception is good, its REALLY good. However, it does not like being mounted behind my HDTV, which would be ideal so I wouldn't have to look at it. Also, as noted above, the signal drops in and out when I really want to watch a show. I don't want to drop the big money on digital cable or sat., but I'm afraid that I may have to go that route before I want to. Right now, I have it resting on a bar stool next to my TV, which is ugly and stupid, but it works. I don't think I should have to do this... 60% of readers found this review helpful. Terk HDTViStrengths: Good reception. Looks nice. Reasonably priced. Weakness: Base is somewhat unstable. The 'captive type' coaxial cable which is included is far too short. I bought it at a retail store despite being told to get a more expensive amplified antenna. I bought this with intent to return if it didnt work correctly. To my surprise this antenna pulls in about 80-90% signal on all of my local HDTV stations. I never see dropouts in signal. I am ~18 miles from the broadcast towers. Highly reccomended! 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: na Weakness: poor reception, pricy It did a job even worse than my 5 year old antenna. I cannot get a decent reception no matter how I position it. The cable is short, too. You have to invest more for another cable. 38% of readers found this review helpful. Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV AntennaStrengths: I don't know if it is just my location or not but this antenna did not function better than cheaper and less fancy ones. Weakness: Poor receptions of local channels. No reception for HD channels. I do not recommend this antenna at all. I cannot even pick up a single HD channel. The VHF channels did not fair too well either. The bottom line is that you should go with a cheaper and less fancy that will serve you just as good. Regard to looks, it is well designed and looks very cool but not worth it. I do not recommend it at all. 33% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Decent antenna!Strengths: Good signal receiving. Fashionable look. Weakness: Short cable. This antenna can receive most of the analog channels clearly. I haven't tested the digital channeles as my tv tunner doesn't support them. The cable is a little bit too short(about 4' or 5'), so I cannot put it at a convenient place. My location is in bay area of california. 17% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

An average TV antenna.Strengths: Compact size; reasonable price. Weakness: For me, worked no better than the rabbit ears I was using; wire exits from bottom, making unit unstable unless wire is taped in place. After reading reviews of this product here, I decided to risk a few bucks. The enclosed directions are comprehensive and easy to follow, but so simple most anyone could assemble the few parts w/o reading them. The immediate problem I found was the wire exiting from the bottom. It wouldn't stay in the groove provided, and kept tipping the unit, making it unstable on top of the TV set (where the manufacturer suggests it be placed). I solved that problem by taping the wire into the groove. That solution, though, presented another problem. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk HDVi not worth the effortStrengths: Neat design, easy to assemble Weakness: Does not work in rural areas This is the third antenna I've tried to pick up HD channels. I live in a wooded area about 30 miles from a major city. The Terk HDVi is no better than my rabbit ears. I was disappointed after reading such rave reviews. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terk Directional Indoor UHF/VHF HDTV Antenna
Strengths: Picked up off air channels right from the start
Weakness: None I can see
This is the third off air antenna that I purchased in the last couple of weeks so I guess the third time is the charm. Before the terk hdtvi I tried a amplified antenna by RCA and Phillips and I could not receive any signal strength and I live with in 8 miles from the broadcast towers but the terk pick up and locked in right off and it is not even amplified. The sole purpose of this antenna is so I can pick up the off air signals for my hd tv since dish network is not broadcasting local channels in HD yet.I recently changed from cable to satellite. So my advice if you are wanting a indoor antenna for local channels or even a main antenna I would say give this little fellow and try.
