Pointless designStrengths: Booming techno sound, Quality of cable. Weakness: actual headphone design structure Although okay headphones for your techno music, these headphones shouldn't be considered for these reasons.

Sony Studio Monitor MDR-V300 HeadphoneStrengths: Great sound clarity, booming bass, attractive design Weakness: A bit uncomfortab A bit uncomfortable due to firm grip these have on your head, but that may lessen with usage. Haven't had these for long but my initial impressions are very positive. Using it with my iPod and getting substantial bass and all around good acoustics. Appear to be solid with rugged plastics. Sony Studio Monitor MDR-V300 HeadphoneStrengths: not too bulky Weakness: Uncomfortable and bass sound My biggest complaint about these headphones is they are very uncomfortable. I didn't expect the sound to be outstanding for the price but I thought Sony could do a better job about blending the bass so it didn't hinder the detail. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sony Studio Monitor MDR-V300 Headphone
Strengths: Look nice. Sound pretty good.
Weakness: Really uncomfortable after short usage. Doesn't fold up sufficiently.
Some have complained about the bass being overdone on these headphones. Perhaps I like bass more than them, but the sound on these headphones is not the problem. They sound fine.
The problem is that you cannot wear them for long without your ears hurting from excessive pressure. Also, when you try to carry these headphones in a backpack or something they do not really fold up that well (and don't stay folded) and so they are consequently both easy to break and hard to carry around.
The cord is sufficiently long and the connectors look great. I wouldn't buy them again because they just hurt.
