Tomtom Navigator for Palm Bluetooth GPS

Strengths: -Easy to use -3D maps are very detailed -Easy installation -voice instructions are clear, detailed, and well timed

Weakness: -Doesn't display many points of interest

This GPS works great! I have a Palm Tungsten T5, and eventhough the package says it's only compatible with the T3, it works very well with the T5 (There is a free download on tomtom.com that helps the software work better on the T5's OS). The installation is easy, and the navigator is very easy to use. The 3D maps are very clear and detailed, not to mention very cool. I have used this product a lot since I bought it in order to test it out, and I must say I am extremely satisfied!
-Here's an update after using the product more: The battery life of the gps locator is about 7 hours, but it also comes with both an AC adapter and car outlet adapter. However, using bluetooth drains the battery on your Palm, so you may want to consider buying a car adapter for it (I bought mine for $20). That means for a longer trip you may need to plug in both the Palm and the GPS locator, hence you would need more than one outlet in your car.

Does the holder in the kit fit the Palm T5?

Nope...but check before you buy it because not all kits come with the holder.

Tomtom Navigator for Palm Bluetooth GPS

Strengths: Works with Palm T3, Easy to use, excellent support, & price is great!

Weakness: Instructions are vague

The TomTom Palm Bluetooth is great. The instructions were vague, and I called support staff. They (Jason) resolved the problem and it was up and running with no problems. Later I asked for an additional vent bracket and it arrived in 2 days. Bottom line; Great GPS for the money & support staff is great!

Tomtom Navigator for Palm Bluetooth GPS

Strengths: ease of use; accuracy; ability to adjust if you change the route; small size of receiver

Weakness: occasionally the Palm doesn't pick up the signal upon start-up, and I either have to exit the program and re-enter, or soft reset

This is a tremendous product. It's ability to redirect you if you take an alternate route is great. Maps are in great detail. I love it!

Tom Tom on Tungsten E2

Strengths: So far, it is very good in cities and on Interstate Highways.

Weakness: (1) Some details of the maps are not correct. Road 3065 is ID'd as a county road, but it is state. Part of the road is given as unmarked. Number 86 is shown at about where #10 is.

My primary use is on small country roads and city streets. It is great on city streets but it is really not convenient at all to navigate to rural addresses. The GPS itself is great. Rural roads are shown, but many are called "unnamed," which means you cannot navigate to addresses on them.
