Solid solution for the priceStrengths: heats well, simple style, one touch button to start Weakness: limited options, loud beep This microwave does everything that I would expect it to. It has decent size & wattage for our small families needs. The first things we cooked - popcorn using the pre-programmed button, and it was right on. Very happy with this purchase as a good value. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Really great microwaveStrengths: Attractive, great size, cooks evenly, great price Weakness: Not as many features as some other models This is a really nice microwave. It has the basic features, which is all I needed it for. It's only 1.1 cubic feet and fits on the counter really well. The buttons are nice and it feels like it's quality made. A must for a microwave was that it had 1100 watts, which this one does. It cooks food evenly. They're hard to find in stores right now because they're being phased out for newer models with more features, but are going for pretty good prices online. I highly recommend purchasing one. GE JES1139WH microwaveStrengths: power, small size Weakness: noisier and less insulated than the GE microwave it replaced; control pad requires slightly more pressure to activate I bought this model because of the $67 price and it was the only one of its width, because it had to fit in the same place as an older model. The performance is fine, and for the price, it's definitely a keeper, despite the minor weaknesses mentioned above. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

GE Microwave --- JES1139
Strengths: size; power; one-touch buttons; good price
Weakness: buttons a little hard to press; keeps on beeping every minute after completion until you open door
So far I've had this microwave for a little over 2 months and it's working great with daily use.
I agree with the other person's comments about the buttons being a little harder to push than other microwaves, but it's minor, no big deal.
The beverage function does not heat my tea to my liking, so I just go by the regular buttons to heat it for 1:30 to 2 minutes. Also, depending on your type of personality, you might or might not like that the microwave keeps on beeping every minute after it's done until you open the door or push the off button.
I do like that you only have to push one of the buttons 1-10 to cook for that number of minutes.
One of the things I was mainly looking for when I was researching microwaves was reliability/how long they last. So I hope to give periodic updates in future years saying that it's still going strong (and hopefully not anything before then about any problems).
