The only real solution out there for wrist RSI

Strengths: The biggest strength is the one that matters, no more wrist pain.

Weakness: None as I currently use it, maybe the learning curve?

I ordered this mouse several months ago and have been using it for about 6-7 months now. All pains in my wrists have disappeared and I no longer suffer from any finger twitching.

This mouse has been a saviour for my sore and tired fingers, hand and wrist.

The easy left and right clicking motion is genius.

The one thing I'll say is that you have to get used to this. If you're doing graphical work like drawing you won't be very successful with this mouse, so it's always good to have another handy, but for everyday usage I have found it to be a Godsend. I am on the computer at work for around nine hours a day word processing, spreadsheets, e-mails, etc., and it got to the point where I was so sore that I took a drastic measure which was to order this mouse....because it's certainly not a typical looking mouse.

Well rejoice, the thing is brilliant. Seven months in and going strong. Highly recommend to anyone suffering from RSI, carpal tunnel, twitching from typing, sore tendons in fingers, etc.

Failed in 3 days

Strengths: Great comfort and reduces stress on wrist

Weakness: If you walk across a carpet, sit down and go to pick up the mouse, zap! Static electricity renders the mouse useless.

The first one I owned lasted many months, but the second one lasted 3 days. I'm totally disgusted! It should have a grounded shield to prevent this kind of failure!!!

3M Ergonomic Mouse Large

Strengths: very responsive, comfortable, easy to adjust to on a Windows platform.

Weakness: USB cable feels thin and cheap; tends to knot easily compared to most cables.

Easy to install. Literally a plug and play device. Easy to adjust to overall functionality on a Win32 based platform. Grip and switch positioning is ideal for at least my hand size. Response is ideal.

Overall:

The 3M Ergonomic Mouse clearly wouldn't win first prize in a beauty pageant, but I chose this product in an attempt to reduce my RSI symptoms. The improvement I have felt by using this means I will likely be buying another and, at nearly half the price of some of the other ergonomic offerings, I can afford to.
