DisappointingStrengths: Grind and brew is a good idea. Easier to clean than the Quisinart Grind and Brew. Decent thermal carafe. Translucent water reservoir. Weakness: Filter holder does not always return fully after grinding phase. Weak coffee. I had a previous model Capresso grind and brew. Wanted a thermal carafe so tried this Quisinart. But that was far too much work to clean so I tried this new Capresso. Works OK for 4-6 cups if you set to strong and for more cups than you actually intend to brew. BUT if you are not watching it the filter holder does not always seat fully over the carafe. (It is spring loaded and is supposed to return over the carafe after the grinding is finished. But on occasion it does not fully return. Weak spring?) In any case if you are not standing there to fix this then coffee will go all over. So don't use the program/auto mode. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Buyer Beware
Strengths: Looks nice on kitchen counter
Weakness: Unreliable, dangerous, poor value, weak coffee,
After using this product for 32 days, the LED light stopped working and the LED window filled with moisture. When the water container is filled with water to the 10 cup mark and the coffee maker is set to brew 10 cups of coffee the carafe does not contain 10 cups and overflows hot coffee from its spout.
The lid contains a very small light blue plastic part that easily became separated from the cap on my third use and could have become a choke hazard for a small child if it had fallen onto the floor and not the counter where I discovered it.
The coffee is delivered hot, but is very weak even set to the strong setting. The package refers to the capacity of the coffee maker as a 10 cup machine, but the purchaser doesn't learn Capresso considers a cup as 4.7 ozs. until reading the instruction manual. The Capresso Team 454 coffee maker which a consumer might upgrade from to the 455 has a 5 ozs. output per cup.
