A necessity if you have a Sony Camera

Strengths: Great and convenient

Weakness: a little expensive

I bought the Sony T10 before the Holiday 06 season. The battery that comes with the camera lasts about 100 mins per a charge. Since the battery drains fast, it is probably not a good idea to recharge if the battery drains just half way. Although the memory effect is not as bad on this camera, I highly recommend getting a second battery. I picked this up so that I can drain the battery all the way on the first one and then use the second one that is charge for a backup. This will save the life for both batteries. Plus when I go on long full day trips, I don't have to worry about conserving my battery. I love it!

T1 InfoLithium Battery for Sony

Strengths: I received the battery within a week. The price is very reasonable and I'm not sure if the battery life will compare to an actual Sony battery.

Weakness: I felt it was advertised as a Sony battery. I knew it couldn't be for the price but the picture and even the description on the invoice imply Sony.

If the battery has a decent life, I will be happy with my purchase. There's no reason to pay the extra expense of one made by Sony if other companies can produce the same battery and sell for less. I liked being able to price shop on this site.

Works well

Strengths: Compatible with Sony Ultracompact Digicams; quick recharge time; Last 120 minutes

Weakness: Expensive

Unfotunately for many of the ultracompact cameras use a proprietary battery. I was going on a trip overseas and I didn't want to face the dreaded possiblity of when the battery was going to die and I wanted to take more photos. There are generic batteries that will fit, but I don't trust the generic stuff to last long. I just paid the 45 dollars for the Sony version.

Sony InfoLithium T Rechargeable Camera Battery

Strengths: - compatibility with regular Memory Stick products. - size - hassle-free functionality

Weakness: - availability - price

Great, small memory card. I had no choice, since I have the Sony dsc-t1, but it does perform well. It's also important that you can use this like a regular memory stick, with the included adapter.
It would be nice if the camera used more common/cheaper memory card (Compact Flash, Secure Digital) but that's more a weakness of the camera than this product. The Memory Stick Duo does function well.

Backup for my DSC-T9

Strengths: Extra battery is always good as a backup

Weakness: none

I bought it as a backup battery for my DSC-T9 and it fits perfectly in my camera case's (LCS-CST) front pouch.

It's a little bit expensive compared to available cheap brand but I don't mind paying for the Sony brand. But I doubt they will perform as well as the Sony one.

Review of Sony InfoLithium Rechargeable Battery

Strengths: Fairly long life, small

Weakness: Pricey

I bought a Sony DSC-T9 and the battery life is pretty good - over 100 minutes when fully charged. However, I plan on travelling and may or may not be near an electrical outlet for recharging for extended periods. Since there is the chance that my battery may run-out, I bought a back up.

In addition to its fairly long life, it is small. However this does not make up for the fact that I had to purchase this battery (the camera I bought does not recognize non-InfoLithium batteries and Sony does not license out the technology) and that it was pretty expensive. So, if you buy a Sony DSC battery, this may be your only option.

Sony Cybershot T1

The design of the Sony Cybershot T1 adds to the quality and durability of the camera. The body of the Cybershot T1 feels very solid and a lot of attention is paid to the small details which also lead to a positive experience. The remembrance of the moment is not well-considered anymore on a 1.5-inch screen! Read our camera review now at LetsGoDigital Camera Magazine.
