Pharos Pocket GPS Navigator Axim X3Strengths: No worries about battery life due to the unique power cord. Seems to be accurate in finding destinations using the best routes.Registering the product allows you to download everchanging map upgrades. Weakness: Had trouble coordinating the functions of pda and unit;possibly lack of experience on my part. The suction cup to secure reciever is not reliable & demo gave impression of more acccessories w/purchase Been using the Pharos for little over 3 weeks. I began by routing locally on roads I'm familiar with to see if the results were acceptable and it seems to choose the best routes. I live in a rural area so have yet to see if it sends me down one way streets the wrong way. I'm feeling comfortable w/product & planning trip to city to see how it performs there. So far so fine; I think I made a good investment that will help me feel more secure when driving in unfamiliar territories. Hopefully this will prevent encounters w/impatient city people who blow their horns at me when I'm in the wrong lane and need to get over but no one will let me in !-) 82% of readers found this review helpful. Pharos Pocket GPS Naviagator Axim X3Strengths: Fast connection to satellites Weakness: Accuracy If you're determined to use your Axim PDA as a GPS unit and you don't have Bluetooth or have found Bluetooth erratic (as I have), this may be the way to go. Connection to satellites is very fast and with direct power from your dash, you never have to worry about batteries running out. Like so many GPS units, I've gotten some quirky directions and the Ostia software takes some getting used to (but it's growing on me), but all in all, I am satisfied with the purchase. Pharos Pocket GPS Navigator Axim X3
Strengths: This GPS is good.It has voice notice which can let me konw when I should make a turn. And the zoom function is also convenient. It will help me drive in an unkown place.
Weakness: Compared with other GPS. It's voice notice function is not too detailed. For example, it can't tell you how many feet ahead you should keep left or make a turn.Only 10 maps can be opened, not enough.
This Gps should have more functions. It should mark the restaurants beside the street. Only 10 maps can be opened.
If you want to go to a very far place. It can't calculate the route, because the number of maps needed may be over 10.
Anyway, this GPS is good and worth to buy. The receiver is sensitive and software is good enough to guide you in any place.
