Strengths: Loud sound, good quality, easy controls, integrated antenna with storage for it.

Weakness: Lack of bass, treble or tone controls. Kind of an awkward fit putting the unit in the boombox and removing it.

When I saw this item I knew it was the perfect complement to my Audiovox plug and play unit. I could use the radio at work, and also with batteries at the beach and parties. The only drawback is the signal is not always so great inside, you do get a long antenna lead and can position the antenna pretty far from the unit, but it isn't as "convenient" as it seems. The sound is loud and the sound quality is excellent, the drawback is there are no treble or bass controls, and there is only a volume knob, the rest of the features are controlled by the radio head unit. The auxillary in is a nice feature, and the unit will work with the original remote control.

Strengths: I love this unit. It is a great idea. I just disconnect my audiovox Siriuus from the car, snap it into the boombox and I can play it anywhere.

Weakness: It doesn't plug into the stereo.

Audiovox SIRBB1 Portable Audio System for SIRPNP2 Satellite Radio is an awesome unit. It is a must if you have Audiovox Sirius. If you are going to pay the Sirius monthly charges, why not be able to play it by the pool, in the office or in your bedroom. I strongly recommend this unit.
