Great Features for a Great PriceStrengths: Plays just about everything! WMA, MP3 (with ID3 tag v2 support), WAV, CR-R, CR-RW, CBR (320K) and VBR. Nice tuner and DSP based EQ features, XM tuner + CD changer control. Weakness: Small buttons, basic audio functions/controls (balance, fade, tone...) buried under multiple menu layers. It's not a Mark Levinson but it sure beats the factory radio and one can't beat it fot the price! I got the unit from Crutchfield who provides all the required installation harnesses/adapters and gave me free shipping (any CD receiver $129 and up) 89% of readers found this review helpful. Worth the price, but could use some workStrengths: MP3/WMA support, Sirius/XM radio support, CD changer support, auxiliary input support (via adapter), 16 character display Weakness: Slow fast forward/rewind, volume doubles as source button, no pause button or att button on face, no auto-scroll display This player is pretty simple but still has a good amount of features. I like that it doesn't have any moving parts on the outside. I've had motors and ribbons go bad. The faceplate goes on and off very easily. All of the buttons are well lit and you shouldn't have to fumble around in the dark to find the right button. The display screen is very clear and a nice 16 character wide display. It doesn't matter very much for sources other than the cd, but it allows a good deal of cd text (or id3 info) to be displayed without scrolling. Although I wanted a simple cd player I had to have one with MP3 support. This receiver can actually play VBR files and supports ID3 v2.0 tags. WMA and WAV are also supported but I hardly use either. Navigating folders is pretty simple: left and right for tracks, up and down for folders. This receiver will even support mixed cds (that have MP3 and CDA files). I don't use or plan to use satellite radio but the support is built-in. I do, however, use an auxiliary adapter to hook up my MP3 player. I'm not big on fine tuning my stereo and I don't have a system so I won't comment much on that. 81% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Another nice design from PioneerStrengths: Remote control, Plays almost all formats IPOD ready Satelite radio compatible Weakness: Nothing This is a very good car deck. i have used both sony and panasonic car decks. Performance wise this is much better. This has a volume control and on/off knob, which is very convenient, compared to the lower models of pioneer. Though Circuit city ripped me off for the additional cables and harnesses this is nice purchase.Plays Mp3,wav,wma etc. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Good Price loaded with featuresStrengths: I purchased this player for it's MP3 compatiblity. It works and sounds great once I got the EQ set up right. Got the unit from Crutchfield who provides all the required installation harnesses/adapters Weakness: Buttons are small. I have had good luck with Pioneer products. The power and the sound are great. Big improvement over the factory stereo and with the MP3 support now I can have a weeks worth of music on one disk. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great player
Strengths: GREAT UNIT FOR THE PRICE!!!! easy install, plays mp3's, satalite ready, wireless remote
Weakness: rca rear speaker output can be changed to power sub but it also changes the rear speaker wire outputs so you only get bass to the speakers.
This pioneer deh-p3800mp works great. Powers both factory amp and speakers as well as aftermarket amp and sub. Have taken truck off road and have not had a problem with skipping. Equalizer presets are nice. Having remote is a bonus. Display is well lit and easy to read day and night. Controls are easy to use with gloves on.
