Sony 1.44MB USB EXT FLOPPY DRIVE W/ BLUE OR WHITE...

Strengths: compact, plug&play is wonderful, easy to install, seems to work good even though have owned for only a short time

Weakness: stand-up attachment doesn't stay attached, comes off easily

In spite of weakness of stand up attachment, the drive itself seems to be very good. Easy to install, use.
Just what we were looking for.

Sony 1.44MB USB EXT FLOPPY DRIVE W/ BLUE OR WHITE...

Strengths: Super-slim lightweight, sturdy, can mount vertically to save space, USB powered Design with no AC Power cable required

Weakness: Expensive compared to other similar external floppy drive models

Easy USB connectivity to PC or Macintosh and light weight with a slim design to carry easily anywhere. A good plug and play storage device for your computer.

Sony USB Floppy

Strengths: External = portable, choice of two bezel colors

Weakness: Short USB cord, price

The floppy drive works as advertised. It can allow you to boot from floppy with most of the recent systems. Price is ridiculously high. Considering $50 gets you a 16x DVD/CD writer combo. Hence, a 2x floppy read speed does not justify the price.
