Crucial, best!

Strengths: Fast, works

Crucial is from micron, a famous microelectronics company. The memory wroks immediately after I replace two sticks for 2GB in my dell e1705. I can tell you that the speed is higher than before when I did math calculation. Strongly recommend it.

High quality RAM

Strengths: High density chips, lifetime warranty, good price

Weakness: None

Installed in a MacBook Pro 1.83Ghz machine alongside a TechWorks 1Gb SO-DIMM. Works well with no problems!

I also noticed that this Crucial SO-DIMM has 4 Micron chips/side, in contrast with the 8 chips/side on the TechWorks. It must be using new higher-density chips.

Bought the Crucial RAM at newegg, where it cost about the same as the less well-known brands. (Now Crucial itself sells an SO-DIMM with the same specs for $5 less, but I'm still happy with the purchase.)

Great Memory for 24" iMac

Strengths: Plug and play.

Weakness: NOTHING!

This memory worked like a charm for my 24" iMac. And why wouldn't it?

Crucial is made by the company Micron which makes the memory that comes in your Apple from the factory.

Crucial is the BEST memory you can buy to replace the existing memory in your Apple. PERIOD.

It is a direct replacement for half the cost of "Apple Brand" memory at the Apple store.

Crucial 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM

Strengths: (1) Flawless operation (2) Good compatibility

Weakness: None

I purchased this memory module for my new ThinkPad T60 (Machine Type 2623). I was able to install this module in less 5 minutes, and my laptop instantly recognized this module without any problem. I performed memory test, which found no error in this module. I have used this memory module about 7 days now, and haven't experienced any problem.

I have bought many memory upgrade from Crucial (mostly for ThinkPads) for the past 6 years, and haven't experienced any problem so far. I wouldn't buy the expensive memory upgrades from the computer makers (e.g., Apple or Lenovo). The memories from Crucial (or Kingston or Viking) work as well (or better than) the manufacturers' memory modules.

However, I would be very careful with buying NO NAME memory upgrades. They often have compatibility or reliability problems.

I hope this helps.

One works, other has problems

Strengths: Brand name memory - one of the two modules works, the other has problems.

Weakness: Second module causes errors

Bought two in one order and put them in a MacBook Pro laptop (Core 2Duo). Started seeing applications lockup occasionally. Re-installed laptop and used Apple's hardware test app. Discovered through process of elimination that one of the memory sticks is causing the memory error that the hardware test found.
Just send an email to Crucial to see if they would replace the memory stick.

Good memory

Strengths: Speed, Stable

Weakness: Price

I have to say this memory rocks, but the price is not good for me... I spent more than $50 on one... Shame
After I bought 2x1g memories, the price was going down so fast in last two weeks.

Weakness: None

Works flawlessly on my Acer TravelMate 2420. I upgraded from 256MB x 2 to 1GB + 256MB, what a difference, Windows XP runs way much smoother! I am very satisfied with the memory, highly recommended!

great memory

Strengths: 1. plug and play 2. currently great price at newegg with $20 rebate 3. dependable/reliable

Weakness: None

I just bought it for my thinkpad (Z60m). I put it in and it works with no problem at all. I can also feel that the performance of the applications in my computer has been greatly improved. I will buy another one so that my thinkpad would have 2G memory. I highly recommend this product!

Crucial

Strengths: Great price compared to RAM from HP.

Weakness: Wish it was cheaper than Kingston..

I have a HP DV9000t notebook that I purchased with 512 MB of ram. I upgraded to 2 GB and it has worked flawlessly since installation. I see a big improvement with startup and shutdown. I also see a big difference with the time that some programs take to load. One thing that I did notice is that the crucial memory uses the same Samsung chips that the stock memory uses. I would definetly recommended this memory.

Crucial Does It Again

Strengths: Easy to install in four minutes. It is a name you can trust.

Weakness: Clips on my Intel Imac had a hard time closing due to the thickness of the new memory chip.

I have been using Crucial for years on various PC's and have been very satisfied. Two months ago I purchased two Apple Imac Intel desktop core duo computers. They came with 2 256 chips of ram and have been very slow. I purchased one of these Crucial memory chips and combined it with an original 256 chip. The computer is now able to change programs in a fraction of the time it use to take. I highly recommend that anyone with a Imac Intel core duo consider this particular chip when looking for an upgrade. I have become a big Crucial fan.
