Brother TN430 Black Toner CartridgeStrengths: Great quality toner cartridge. Does not leak like many other brands. Weakness: None Great quality toner cartridge. Do not bother to spend extra on the TN-460 (the double-capacity ones), as they begin to leak toner well before they reach the promised 6,000 page count. Buy this cartridge instead. Brother TN430 Black Toner CartridgeStrengths: Same cartridge as shipped with the original unit. Weakness: As careful as you are, the replacement process will leave a dusting of toner powder. This is typical of toner cartridges and laser printers, but the installation instructions should make it known. Because this OEM toner cartridge is the same as what is originally shipped with the Brother 1440 model laser printer, I have no complaints about the product itself. Shady Business but what choice do I have?
Strengths: None in particular
Weakness: None in particular
The Shady business I'm referring to in the title is in the toner management component. After a certain period of time the lights on the printer start blinking "need new toner" Apparently, if the cartridge is manipulated in a certain way,those lights will stop blinking and you'll continue to get clear and clean copies. I continued to get such copies for many months after having been informed that I was out of toner and would need a new cartridge. I have been using this product for some time - I wonder how many cartridges I threw away when there was plenty more ink left in them.
