Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: Outstanding expansion -- will change the way you play the game. Tons of new techs, units, and NPC buildings/heroes.

Weakness: This is a tough game to master. All the new units and strategies involved with those units will make this game even tougher.

I've been playing the beta for about a week or two and the game design is pretty incredible. All races get a facelift with new techs for old units, and completely new units and heroes to add to the familiar army you already know.

The addition of NPC buildings and heroes is brilliant -- you can also build your own Item shop to replenish your heroes with scrolls+potions

The single-player storyline is supposedly top-notch, but the beta only lets you playtest multiplayer so I can't say anything about solo play yet.

Only negative is that beta players are too good. I get creamed every time I log on.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: New campaign, new units, lots of balance fixes/new features

Weakness: None I can think of

Blizzard expansion packs are usually top notch, and The Frozen Throne is no exception. Instead of just throwing in a few new levels like most developers, Blizzard goes out of their way to add new units, fix any balance issues, and add new features.

The additional single player campaigns are excellent, every bit as good as the original game. Blizzard has actually created some new races to play as - unfortunately, you can't use these races in multiplayer. However, they add quite a bit of fun to the single player campaigns.

The Frozen Throne introduces several new units. Each race gets a new hero; there are also new mercenary heroes. In addition there are new general purpose units for each race. There are lots of new items, map tilesets, items, spells, and buildable shops.

Blizzard has also made some made quite a few changes to the game:

- Spellcasters now have an inventory,
- Orc burrows can be upgraded to heavy burrows,
- Cyclone is now dispelable,
- You can buy transport ships from the goblin shipyard,

And a couple more that I've probably forgotten.

All in all, this is a feature filled expansion, definitely a great addition if you have Warcraft III.

Frozen Throne

Strengths: Fun gameplay. low system requirements.

Weakness: AI is not very consistent at times.

This expansion to WC3 has been around for a while now. While quite a few other RTS games have been released during this time, it still remains one of the best. The graphics are still chrisp and beautiful and gameplay is topnotch. Best of all, the system requirements are low enough that you don't need the latest PCs to play it.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: Battle.net feature is awesome. It's free to play as long as you have a valid CD key.

Weakness: None.

I bought this game mostly for playing it with my buddies online on Battlenet. If you already have the original version, then this expansion set is a must-have too. Although the Warcraft game has been around for a while, its addiction has still remained as high as ever before.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: Adds more fun to the original.

Weakness: None

If you are a fan of the Warcraft series, purchase this game. Rarely do I purchase an expansion pack for a game, but the reviews persuaded me to do so with this game. It's so much fun building your forces and destroying the enemy. Go buy this now!

Great Game

Strengths: Always updates, exciting

Weakness: Same gameplay

This game is great. It's especially fun while playing with your friends and stuff. It's pretty basic. I'd recommend it to people, even those who don't play Warcraft like myself. It's not your typical warcraft game.

Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne

Strengths: - Four new heros for each race and a couple of new neutral heros. - A few new units, upgrades and buildings for each race. - A whole new campaign which continues where the last left off with a great storyline. - Map editor gives alot of replay valu

Weakness: - Not much improved graphics. - Map editor is the same. - Battle.net is the same.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne is the long waited expansion pack for the hit RTS game Warcraft III

by Blizzard, the ever so popular company which created popular games such as the Starcraft and

Diablo franchise. As the title shows, Warcraft III is not the first of the series. It takes off

where the last game ended with the two races, Orcs and Humans as they battle it out mono e mono.

This time however, two new exciting races join the cast. Warcraft III takes the Warcraft Realm into

a whole new experience by putting it into a 3d enviroment. This expansion pack retains the fun and

excitement of Warcraft III and adds a couple of new features. Such features includes a whole new

campaign, a couple of new upgrades and units for each race, and a new hero for each race (and a

couple of new neutral heros). It also includes a map editor (which came with Warcraft III aswell)

so you can customize and make your own maps, which gives Warcraft III alot of replay value.

Warcraft III can also be played online either on Battle.net or LAN. Overall, this expansion pack is

a great buy for those who played Warcraft III and want to add some extra strategy and another few

hours of campaigns.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: A necessary expansiion, due to the world editor capabilities.

Weakness: Takes a while to boot up.

Once this expansion is installed, you will never see the non-Frozen Throne screen when you open the WC3 program. The expanded world editor capabilities (for map editing) is well worth installation. Make sure you have at least the minimum CPU, RAM, and video card.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: Great plotline, single player and multiplayer both having great gameplay

Weakness: Can be hard to start out on multiplayer, everyone is good now.

The game is great, plotline, gameplay and everything has been improved.

Multiplayer is very challenging, and it is hard to start out if you are new, but the new map editor has allowed editors more freedom to create their own scenarios, some of which don't even include fighting each other but rather working together to defend against hordes of enemies.

Highly recommended for a strategy gamer, action gamer and maybe even the roleplayer.

Blizzard Entertainment WarCraft III Expansion: The...

Strengths: The Strenghts are the new techs, units, heros, and buildings.

Weakness: The only weakness that I found was the beta only had multiplayer so I can't say anything about the single-player campaigns.

This game is excellent. The graphics are awsome, the storyline is great, and the units and heros are also well laid-out. As for a comparison if you've ever played Starcraft or Diablo 2 and you liked them, this is the game for you because its almost a mix between them with the war statigies and the hero leveling and items.

Just buy it. That's if it's not in a retail bundle by now as they've both gone over the seven figure mark.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

I cannot believe that is has been a year since War Craft III: Reign of Chaos came out. This was one of the best RTS games that came out last year. This year gamers are treated to an expansion pack to this game that gives a whole new life to it - just like every Blizzard expansion pack always does. WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne has a lot of live up to because the original game was, simply put,...

Warcraft III Frozen Throne

Following the release of Warcraft III by one year to the day, Blizzard's newest expansion pack, called The Frozen Throne, had a lot to live up to considering where it comes from. Not only has the developer managed to create a bevy of brilliant and popular games, but it also has followed each of these titles up with an equally impressive expansion pack. Thankfully, Blizzard's trademark for quality...

Warcraft III Frozen Throne

Unless you live in the extreme north, when you mention the word Blizzard to gamers, they invariably recite the litany of quality products the company has released in its successful history. Compelling gameplay, stunning cinematics, and a great story all come together in one critically acclaimed title after another. With the release of The Frozen Throne, that line of succession continues.
