Best space heater yet.Strengths: Strong fan, solid construction, heats better than any other space heater I have tried. Heats at the floor level which is very efficient heating from bottom up. Very safe. Weakness: Description on box is not very detailed. I almost didn't buy it because I wasn't sure I could adjust wattage from 1500 to 750. Good thing Walmart had working models so I learned I can adjust it. I own several space heaters all different types but I went to Walmart because I wanted to try another different one. One good thing about Walmart is they have working models. So I tried every single one they had and compared. I almost didn't buy it because the package detail didn't specifically state that you can change the watts to 750 or 1500, but you can. When you turn the thermostat all the way to the left it continually runs at 750 watts, when you turn it all the way to the right it runs continually at 1500 watts, in the middle it will cycle back and forth. Well the Lasko RS3000 put out more heat than any other heater I tried. Some sites say there is no difference that they are all 100% efficient, but believe me there is a big difference between models and this one is the best I've seen so far. Why is it better? I don't know, maybe due to large element, stronger fan, less resistance due to pushing heat generated out allowing the element to heat up without resistance, heat at the floor level, some possibilities. Taking the Lasko RS3000 out of the box I noticed the quality of the construction, looks like a durable toggle switch for the power, the thermostat knob also has a solid feel. Looking through the vents I was surprised to see metal ducting similar to my house furnace ducts. Putting it to use I ran a test on a night using it. The low outside was to be a few degrees colder than previous night when I had 2 space heaters going all night. Well since I bought 2 RS3000 heaters I put them both on and after a few minutes my wife looked at me and said is it just me or is it way too hot in here, well I was too warm also. So I shut one off, then lowered it to 750 watts, then moved it across the room which is 20'x21' with a 17' high ceiling. It was fine all the way to the morning like this and the temperature indoors went to the same that it was the night before with a slightly warmer exterior temperature and using 2 space heaters. It did the work of 2 heater basically. So anyway, I like it, we'll see how much we can screw the gas company's using electric instead. Natural gas is up 100% from last year and 300% from 10 years ago. Strong Heater
Strengths: Really puts out the heat, unlike other small heaters. Has tipover cutoff switch. Pulls in air at top, blows heated air out at bottom.
Weakness: No thermostat.
Bought this heater on sale at Amazon. This heater puts out a lot of heat compared to other 1500 Watt compact heaters that I have owned. However, it only has one rotary control available to you. It clicks to tell you when it switches from low wattage to the full 1500 watt heat setting. The fan runs all the time. I found this a slight setback, but it is good for a large room where you are constantly losing some heat.If you have a lot of dust in your house, you may find it a challenge to clean the recessed steel air intake grate at the top of the heater. However, the massive heat output of this small heater outweighs the disadvantages, at least for me. I plan on buying another in the near future.
