Is this movie really child friendly?Weakness: Very eerie. Watching the ride to the north pole is like riding the rollercoaster, if you like that kind of thing you'll probably love the movie. The children I watched this with found the character on the roof extremely creepy. For people not already familiar with the book, and in love with the story, the movie is actually more eerie than uplifting. My children were more afraid watching it than Pirates of the Carribean or Harry Potter. harrisun. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Love the Book and MovieI would like to say personally I love the book and seeing the movie was awesome. I seen the movie at the Imax and I thought it was an amazing and a life like movie. I would recommend it to every age. As we all get older Santa lives in our children and this movie shows how it can live in all of us if we believe. It brings back memories about waking up and finding the presents under the tree and how you just couldn't fall asleep Christmas Eve. I hope you all enjoy this movie as my daughter and I have. Happy Holidays. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Where's the Grinch?
Strengths: Imaginative
Weakness: apparently didn't make enough at the box office
The grinch lives on in the hearts of the professional movie critics. These are the kind of people who heckle comedians and boo opening acts at concerts. These are people who complain because their presents aren't big enough or shiny enough. These are the people who think of the team who played in but lost a super bowl as a bunch of losers instead of the second best team in the league. These people are in love with their own ability to get paid for being clever with their words while ripping on someone else's efforts. These are the professional haters. Ignore them in all walks of life.
Like any good adventure story there is a lot of tension in this movie in the vein of always being on the edge of "we're not gonna make it!!!" but you never doubt for a minute that all will end well.
I enjoyed it immensely.
