RCA Lyra Jukebox 40GB MP3 PlayerStrengths: Lots of storage, Preety Fast, Different category breakdowns. Weakness: Software set up is not that easy to use when loading and breaking down music. For an old timer like me who at 32 has thousands of CD's and doesn't listen to them as much anymore, this is fantastic. A ton of storage and ultra convenient for travel and use by car or plane. Not in love with the display screen but it has a great category breakdown but is a pain to setup and it isn't easy to search since you really have only 1 button to use for your searches. 92% of readers found this review helpful. RCA Lyra Jukebox 40GB MP3 PlayerStrengths: Large storage space, holds all my mp3s, fast USB 2.0 transfer, great sound, good price. Weakness: Not crazy about the controls, it could be simpler. It's kind of big and bulky. I'm pretty happy with my purchase. It was a great price, holds a lot of songs, sounds great, quickly transfer your files to it. RCA Lyra Jukebox 40GB MP3 PlayerStrengths: This product comes with everything that is needed. There is no need to buy any accessories. Weakness: Claims that it will play WMA's, but it will lock up when you try. Stick to only mp3s. I have never owned any other mp3 player before & was a little concerned with everything that one would have to buy on top of paying an arm & a leg for quality player. Although I ran across this one by accident, & was a little concerned because RCA does not have a name for making mp3 players. RCA Lyra Jukebox 40GB MP3 PlayerStrengths: large hd, car kit, the fact you can use it as a external hd Weakness: to few to mention,none that make me want to get rid of it This is my second HD mp3 player and my fifth overall. To start out I like the fact that it comes with a car kit. I also like the rca brand; I have several cd players and a DVD player from this brand. I like that it plays mp3 PRO and that it comes with a 40 gig HD twice the size of my old one (a Rio riot) over all I like it and would recommend it 78% of readers found this review helpful. RCA Lyra Jukebox 40GB MP3 Player
Strengths: lots of memory
Weakness: dead battery, No support from RCA
I bought this item on 10/5/03 from Circuit City.com for $299, and it died on 1/12/04. I can't get a refund from Circuit City because it's past the 30 days, and RCA has said they don't have any more. The customer support from RCA is apalling, how can a huge company like RCA not have any more units to replace. They don't even offer to repair....Buyer Beware!
