ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Outstanding graphics capabilities, a ton of features, good documentation, free Half-Life 2 Weakness: Drivers that came with the board were a little out of date. The card installed easily into my homemade computer (epox 8rda3+, Athlon xp2500+, OCZ Performance 512mb ddr pc3200 ram). Huge improvement over the last video card that I had. Very pleased with the quality of the graphics in my games. I shouldn't have to upgrade it again for quite some time. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Everything in one package. Weakness: Learning curve is about a week for all the features. I have only had this card for four days and i am satisfied. Though there are a lot of things that i am still finding out about the features. I comes with this purple input device, that i learned could be hooked to my Nintendo Gamecube or any other gaming console and played on the computer. People who walk through my dorm room are really impressed. The graphics are a huge upgrade from the ATI 7000 vid. card that i previously owned. My dvds on the computer has as good of quality as my digital tv. The record feature is the best. Come on, being able to record your favorite shows when you are out and can't watch them is an awesome feature. You can find this bundle online for about $210, but i couldn't wait for the shipping, and just went to circuit city and paid the $250. If you have the money, go get one. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Lots of bundled extras (remote, Pinnacle editing, GuidePlus, etc.) Weakness: Had some problems watching TV initially Got GP faults using TV program (MMC 8.6 software which came with card) under W2K. Installed new instance of XP and still had them. Tried upgrading to 8.7 at ATI's web site and still had them. Finally had to uninstall MMC 8.6 completely and then reinstall 8.7 from ATI's site and it worked fine. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Great graphics card, stable drivers for XP users. Bundled extras like the remote wonder and the free game. Weakness: Multimedia performance has been a disapointment Max Payne 2 looks just like the back of the game box on this thing. That is definately a good sign. No slowdowns, no glithces, even with the AA on. Drivers appear stable with XP, although I do recommmend going directly online for them; use the included CD as a coaster..I learned the hard way(they crippled my cd-rom drivers) 100% of readers found this review helpful. ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: easy install Weakness: None I just installed and it went in very smoothly with no glitches. I look forward to trying the PVR capability but hav enot had a chance. TV output worked fine and no glitches there either. I would recommend it although I can't speak to the gamiing capability of it. There have been other good reviews of it as well. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: It is a great improvement over the AIW 7500 it replaced. New Remlote II is unbelievable and recording video is much better. And allocating 256mb of RAM in the bios makes it even greater. Weakness: Fan is noisy. May add VGA cooler to replace fan. Any one who does photo or video editing should consider this board, especially as it has dropped in price this week. Great TV watching while working allows me to watch Hockey Game while writing or doing file maintenance by removing all the junk or fil;e duplicates that build up. Next step is to try photo restoration in PhotoShop while watching TV. I have never succeeded on other video cards. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Great upgrades to my resolution! I love working @ 1600 x 1200! :) Weakness: well I can't figure out how to make it mute when I record but not kill the sound on the tv program... well still working that out, but still awesome. I swear this thing has everything! Ability to connect 2 monitors (or a monitor and a tv, etc etc), awesome remote with the ability to upgrade to the next version fo the remote but I am thinking of holding off on the complimentary upgrade cause it would cost $15 ;) hehehe But having a remote is nite and DVDs have never looked so nice! :) WOO! I love this product! :) 67% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Lots of ability packed into a single card Weakness: none I've had the card for 3 days and it has far exceeded my expectations. The software bundle works great, with its Time-shifting and DVD functions topping the list. Card installed on an XP machine with no problem, just be sure to follow the installation instructions. Overall a great card for the price. 60% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: It's a kitchen sink in terms of features w/very good performance. Weakness: Fan is louder than other fans in my box. I've owned three TV cards before. The first was a separate video card and TV card, which I'll ignore. The second was an ATI AIW Radeon, which had a great price point considering features. Now I've upgraded to the ATI AIW Radeon 9600 Pro, and it continues to offer a wide set of features and adds a remote. 40% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Features Weakness: Typical ATI garbage drivers. Drivers on CD simply would not load. Period. TV and Multimedia drivers from ATI website worked fine but the Remote Wonder drivers from the website would not load either. ATI support really poor! After they told me to edit my registry and it would still not work, they told me to return it. Supplier will undoubtedly charge a 20% restocking fee. Will never purchase an ATI product again! The NVIDIA products I've had in the past have never been any problem. NVIDIA drivers work! Also, ATI has a 900 number where you will pay for support after 30 days. Not a good choice!!!! 13% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Lots of features Weakness: none I upgraded from an ATI All-In-Worder 128, what a difference. Games are much more alive and with the same quality TV (PVR) abilities. I just read Maxium PC's review on this and can't agree more. 0% of readers found this review helpful. ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: The best way to watch TV, listen to FM stereo, capture video/audio and play games on your PC, highly compatible when compared to using separate capture solutions, supports two VGA monitors Weakness: driver support is IMO a bit behind Nvidia in stability/reliability, ATI Multimedia Center applications are a bit buggy but still usable, no IR control for cable or settop box, no DVI support If you are looking to watch TV, capture video/audio this is an excellent solution. Likely to be much more stable than using separate capture card. Its also quite good for games, but if you're an extreme gamer look at the All in Wonder 9800Pro. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: Strong all around performer. Weakness: Had to unistall NSW 2003 in order to install drivers. :-( This was an upgrade from a 64MB GeForce2 GTS WOW! My system is a P3 933mhz 512mb ram with windows 98se and a 19 inch Mitsubishi CRT. I am watching Satellite signals through the tv tuner. Have Halo, Max Payne, and several other combat sims that seem to jump right out at you. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: It is a great value for what you get. capture device, mutiple cables for input and output, Lots of software. Free copy of Halflife 2 (when it is released) which is a $50 dollar vale. supports DX9. Weakness: I am still learning the ins and outs of the card's features and really have had no problems, which is what I would consider a weakness. I was in need of upgrading my Geforce4 mx420 64MB card and I am glad that I did. I am not a benchmarker or overclocker all I wanted a product that would perform better for me right out of the box. Since I've played basically only one online game for the past year and a half I could definitely tell a performance increase. In addition, all of the features of an All-in-Wonder Card offered were great. It gives you the ability to make your pc the headquarters of your multimedia center (TV, Radio, Video Capture, Dual Monitor Display, and a remote control unit to control it all from the couch). Plus you recieve Halflife 2 for free, which will be about a $50 value. You can't go wrong on this mid level video card. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics CardStrengths: A swiss army knife of graphics performance. Free remote wonder 2 upgrade (pay shipping) and FREE HALF LIFE 2!!!!!!!! Weakness: No that I have found. Easy installation. A bit tougher to get into the AGP slot because of the coaxial connector for the FM tuner. Excellent performance in games such as Call Of Duty. Highly reccomended. A subperb value. From what I understand, highly stable for overclocking as well. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics Card
Strengths: Outstanding card for its price.
Weakness: none.
For about half the price of a Radeon 9800XT or 9800 AIW, you can purchase a very capable AGP card / TV tuner in the AIW 9600 pro. Also, unlike some of the GeForce cards, this one needs a single AGP slot. I installed it in a shuttle box without along with a PCI audio card without any space constraint problems. The included software and remote wonder are also outstanding.
