Decent DDR2 RAMs!

Strengths: Great compability, stable and fast performance, cheap price

Weakness: none

Kingston makes the best memory product! This DDR2 PC5300 RAM is compatible with all celeron M, dual core, core dual and some core2dual laptops. I never has a problem with this ram. It is very easy to install and upgrade your laptop with the most obvious performance improvement. The price for this ram is now quite low. You can even get it around $20 after rebate in some deals!

Kingston 1GB Notebook Ram

Strengths: Good price for notebook upgrade

Weakness: None

Kingston has always been my choices of memory products and I have never had any problems with Kingston products. Now with Ram price drops to $100 to get 2 1gb, I had no hesitation to order it for my Dell notebook.

Macbook core duo (1 generation macbook) compatible...

Strengths: Price, compatibility

Weakness: None

I installed 2 memory modules in my Macbook today. Works brilliantly! My macbook is a first generation (3 generations exist) white 1,83 GHz Intel core duo. It came with 512 mb ram (manufactured by Hynix). Here is what happened when I put in one and then two KVR667D2S5/1G (Kingston value ram, PC5300, 667 MHz, DDR2, 1 GB) into my Macbook.
512 mb 1,25 GB 2,0 GB
Startup 24 s 24 s 24 s
Word 50 s 37 s 37 s
Excel 19 s 12 s 12 s
Powerpoint 10 s 9 s 9 s
Photoshop CS3 19 s 16 s 15 s
s = seconds
All launch time measurements were done with no other programs running.
Conclusion - Going from 512 mb to 1,25 gb is an excellent deal that makes a world of difference. On the other hand going all the way to 2,0 gb wont do very much more. Id say it doesnt make sense unless you really like the idea of serious multitasking (=running 5+ demanding applications simultaneously).

Cheap price, but good value!

Strengths: Very cheap price with a kingston rebate, which comes fast. Good performance, improve laptop speed a lot

Weakness: none

Kingston periodically offers rebate for their RAMs. Got this 1gb ddr2 RAM for my laptop during a promotion. This RAM looks nice and high-quality. I upgrade the laptop with this 1GB RAM and the vista runs much faster! It is PC5300 but compatible with my laptop which only requires PC4200. Very happy with this upgrade!

Great Ram - Great Prices

Strengths: Rock Solid Stable Compatible with XP and Vista

Weakness: No heat sink

With RAM prices dropping recently, 2 Gig of RAM can be had for about $100. I pair this with my Dell laptop (E1505) with a Core Duo T2300 Intel processor. I had upgraded from original stock RAM which was running at a lower 4200 timing. My computer accepted the RAM without any hiccup. It ran fine without disruption on XP. Unfortunately, with the limitation of the laptop, the maximum RAM capacity was 2Gig. I soon upgraded to Vista. Vista produced a score of 4.7 at 2Gig. To run Vista, I recommend having at least 2Gig. With certain video cards sharing RAM memory, 2Gig is essential to prevent lag and stuttering during multi application use. I am please with the purchase and would buy again. Kingston is a great company and you should not have much issues with these RAM.

Excellent Price & Great Performance......BEST DEAL...

Strengths: Works Great!!! Inexpensive compared to others and is a Brand Name --KINGSTON-- My Toshiba laptop runs super fast now, compared to before

Weakness: None at all........

I just purchased 2 of the Kingston 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM Memory (model # KVR667D2S5/1G) for my laptop.
It was such an easy install, my laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5057 recognized it right away. Now my laptop works blazin fast. I got it to make Windows Vista run fast and multi-task more, and it works great. I originally had 1gb ram (2 x 512mb) and now with this it has upgraded to 2gb (2 x 1gb). It runs smooth with no lag at all. Great memory for the price. Always go with Kingston or name brands when it comes too memory. Don’t go for the cheaper non-brand name. You won’t regret the extra few dollars that you spent for this.

Kingston RAM and my MacBook

Strengths: Installed flawlessly Reliable Stable Fast Packaging for shipment

Weakness: none

Last fall I purchased a MacBook and recently needed to max out the memory in it to 2 GB. I reviewed the Apple specs and based on my past experience using Kingston RAM I purchased 2GB of RAM (2 x PC5300 1GB DDR2 667mhz SODIMM) for my MacBook. It installed and works as advertised and I had no issues at all. I did not see where Kingston was specifically mentioned as Apple MacBook compatible RAM. It met the published Apple specs so I ordered it based on my trust in Kingston memory products. Kingston is a nice RAM upgrade product for Apple MacBook just in case you are considering doing the same.

kingston notebook value ram

Strengths: at this time price ($50 shipped) and kingston name, speed increase

Weakness: none

I have a lot of Kingston products from usb flash drive, camera memory and notebook memory now. Always reliable and good value for the money. I have no hesitation recommending the value line of their product. Even though it does not have a lifetime warranty, I would not let that be a consideration to buy or not. Ensure the memory is compatible and enjoy the speed increase. Ram upgrade is one of the best bangs for your buck.

kingston value ram notebook memory

Strengths: kingston branding, 10 year warranty, price as of April 2007

Weakness: potentially the 10 year warranty

First, always check your system for memory compatability. Check with your notebook maker and then cross reference the memory maker and perhaps cross reference again with another, ie crucial, corsair, kingston for example to ensure compatability. Value ram appears to be kingstons lower end memory but dont think that it is not good value. At the right price point, this is great value. I paid $50 as of April 2007. Other chip makers provide lifetime warranties but usually with this type of product, it either works or does not so I would not get to hung up on the warranty issue. Also check how many available slots you have as most notebooks have 2 - you will probably end up giving away or selling your extra memory chip that is replaced. This is DDR2 memory and rated as pc a5300 667 megahertz taht takes advantage of the newer motherboards ie dell 6400 or 1505 for example. It is also backwards compatible to a certain degree ie dell 6000 but as always check. Good value at around $50. We will see if the non rush to vista continues to drop ram prices.

Kingston Ram Review

Strengths: I noticed that my computer is running a bit faster. Very easy to install.

Weakness: Non

I using PriceGrabber to select the vendor & bought this one from ZipZoomFly. My PC (O.S.: Vista Home Premium) came with 1 GB of Ram (tow banks of 512 MB Ram) which just meets the minimum requirement for the new O.S. The reason I pick Kingston is its good reputation & it costs a lot less than Crucial and other well known brands. I am very happy with my selection. As matter of fact, I am ordering another one to replace the existing 512 MB Ram.

A Solid Choice for Notebook Memory

Strengths: Name-brand quality of memory. Well-packaged. Competitive price.

Weakness: None.

It's easy to get burned by cheap memory, which is why it's easy to recommend a manufacturer like Kingston. I used this memory to upgrade my brand-new ThinkPad T60 running Windows Vista. The install went smoothly, and the chip passed all the onboard diagnostics with flying colors. For the price, Kingston can't be beat. Highly recommended.

kingston memory works

Strengths: Fast. Worked as I expected.

Weakness: none

I have bought Kingston memory before for my laptop. And it improved the warming up time a lot for my laptop a lot. So I choose Kingston this time. And it doesn't let me down. Plus the price is in the middle-lower end. I am glad about my purchase. And I will recommend to others.

Another great buy from Kingston

Strengths: Reliable, stable, inexpensive

Weakness: None

So far all my computers are built with Kingston memory installed. I had problem with 1 or 2 memory sticks but Kingston exchanged it at no time. Great service.
Now I am trying an Apple MacBook and this memory indeed give it a big boost.

Works great

Strengths: Easy to Install, Helps the speed on my macbook greatly

Weakness: none yet

This is an easy way to make your computer a lot faster. I got 2 gigabytes for my macbook and they make everything run a lot faster and smoother. I am told that kingston does not void my apple warranty either.

Reliable memory

Strengths: solid

Weakness: none

I've put this memory through it's paces using memory intensive applications and the standard "memtest" application that runs continuous error checks on each segment of the memory to look for possible errors.

For the price and reliability, it can't be beat.
