My favorite yoga video

Strengths: teaches "ujai" (sp?) breathing, beginner to advanced poses, great music

Weakness: not on DVD

I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and while I prefer to be live with the instructor, this is by far my favorite video. My challenge now is that I need it on DVD as we no longer own a VHS player. The scenery is very serene and encourages a meditative state. A lot of videos talk about breathing, but none take the extra step to teach it properly. Knowing the proper technique and implementing it takes your practice to a whole new level!

Good, but I don't think great

Strengths: More challenging poses with slow and smooth directions.

Weakness: No background information on instructor. Rather short and I have to say, a little spooky.

I bought this because of a recommendation. Some of the standing poses are taken to more challenging levels, but a beginner with some yoga experience could probably find a way to adapt them for their own level.

I do have to say that it kind of felt like watching the video from, "The Ring," especially in the beginning. I think that it is meant to be relaxing, but it's actually really creepy.
