TEAC 350 Turntable and CD Recorder

Strengths: Good quality recording phonograph records to a CD.

Weakness: This only records to "audio" CDs, which are more expensive than ordinary CD's for computers, and the recorded CD is subject to limitations on recopying under the Serial Copy Management System.

I recommend that you get an Audio CD-RW, which you use to record on the TEAC machine. Use the NERO computer program to copy the Audio CD-RW to your computer hard disk as a wav file, which can be used to make all the copies you want on an ordinary CD, which plays in all CD players. Then erase the Audio CD-RW and start over.

Teac GF-350 Turntable CD Recorder Player

Strengths: Great for someone that needs to convert their album collection without dealing with PC conversion technology

Weakness: Burned CD's are occasionally non-compatable with some CD players. Suggestion - Test on a few CD players... after you burn.

Essentially, the only device I've found in the marketplace for an "all-in-one" solution to transferring LP's to CD. Excellent quality, beautiful "retro" styling case, and truly a fun device to utilize for real time audio recording transfer to CD.

Exception value and maximum ease of operation, considering the alternatives.

GF350 teac review

Strengths: Records vinyl to digital audio cd's only (about $30.00/100)simply with all the pops and cracks of that nostlagic vinyl you've held on to for decades. Affordable. Plays vinyl and cd's.

Weakness: The sound quality playing music (cd/vinyl) is not great. Needle lasts only 50hrs. Replacement needles($19.95/2) and special cd's hard to find.

All that hard to find music( on vinyl) can now be burned to cd's with a push of a button. Does what I wanted it to do.
Now I can play some old favorites that have been forgotten. It's like going back in time. I feel young again for $321.00 ONLY!!!! Enjoy, Lenny "Blue"

Great product

Strengths: Easy to use, compact design. Does what it claims. Seems to be well made.

Weakness: A little pricey and prefers "Audio" CDR's

I bought this unit for my father-n-law so he could convert his extensive vinyl collection to CD. He LOVES it. He is one of those who can't figure out the VCR and is baffled by email. I was worried he would have trouble using this type of product. The GF-350 is touted as being easy to use and is it ever. They even have a quick reference guide that really works and we were burning 'Old Blue Eyes' minutes after opening the box. I'm no audiofile but the quality seems good to me and great to my Father-n-law. If I had to find a draw back to this machine it would be the initail cost of the GF-350, but since there really is no competition I guess we're stuck. The manual claims it only works with "Audio" CDR and CDR-RW discs, (not the cheapos). I'm just trusting them on this and didn't bother trying other media. The bottom line is, sure I could do this cheaper hooking a turntable up to my computer but not easier, and as far as for my Father-n-law... fuggeda'bout it.

Teac GF-350 Turntable

Strengths: Exactly what I wanted and does the job that I wanted it to do. Easy to operate.

Weakness: Does not number tracks on the CD automatically. This has to be done manually.

The mode GF-350 does exactly what I want it to do. It is compact and easy to operate. The sound quality is very good. The price was very reasonable and would recommend this equipment to others.
