The Neverending Story [Blu-ray] [With Happy Feet 2...They don't make kids films like they used to. This was a stunning film. Excellent plot where a mere child finds a book entitled "The Never Ending Story" - You follow the story with him. The key force of destruction in this tale is "the Nothing" literally non-existence or the lack of imagination. The world in which "The Neverending Story" takes place, is Fantasia; a conglomerate universe composed of the dreams and hopes of all people. The main protagonist, Atreyu, is the alter ego of the real life boy who is reading the story. Confused? If you haven't seen it then do! The special effects for 1984 are pretty amazing, and the use of puppets makes this experience even more magical. *Update* J-Reilly you sound bitter. Difference of opinion so what, but you really didn't have to quote me on everything and slate it. Surely you are capable of making your own synopsis without jumping all over mine? Excellent plot were a mere child finds a book and wrecks an entire movie. The key force of destruction in this movie is "the Nothing", which is about all this trach is, nothing. The Neverending Story [Blu-ray] [With Happy Feet 2...This movie is sometimes overlooked but it has all the charm and intelligence of The Princess Bride. Both are fine films that the entire family can enjoy. The ending falters when compared to the bulk of the movie but not enough to lower the rating. The Neverending Story [Blu-ray] [With Happy Feet 2...I have loved this movie since I was a child. The imagination of it was on such a grand scale that it just entranced me. The characters, the effects, the wonderful storyline- all of it were so unique for its time period. Even better is the book by Michael Ende. The Neverending Story [Blu-ray] [With Happy Feet 2...Now this is a movie. A young boy named Bastian, being chased by bullies hides in a book store, there he discovers a magical book called The Neverending Story. Bastian takes the book and hides in his schools attic and begins to read it. You experience the story along with him. There is too much to mention. A princess, a luck dragon, a giant turtle named Morla and that's just the begining. A great story with a wonderful ending, very imaginative. Kids and adults of all ages will like this movie even the music is enjoyable. Great special effects and costumes. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top
