Strengths: Close shave, and ease of cleaning.
Weaknesses: Has built in clock. But i don't know what it is for?
Summary: I've had this razor for about 1 week now. I received it only 2 days after ordering it, and I'm very happy with it. It shaves very close and, without irritation to my skin. The quality is very good, and it's very easy to clean. I just pop open the quick snap on the top of the razor, shake out the hair, rinse it a little and it's clean. I charged it once when I first got it and haven't yet needed to charge it again. I believe I have made an excellent selection.

Strengths: Battey; Easy to clean; Close shave just as blade

Summary: I always thought blade offers closer shaving than electric shavers until I got Norelco 9160XL. I mean I had a Quadra before which was also made by Norelco but I still liked to use blade. But the 9160XL is a breakthrough. It gives me the same close shave just as blades do, and most importantly it doesn't cause irritation. Forget about all the shaving conditioners and gels, 9160XL is quick and effective. There's a personal comfort control feature which allows you to choose the best blades position for you. I also love the smart touch pivoting feature which makes it very convenient and faster to shave the neck and chin. 9160XL is very easy to clean since you can rinse it under hot water. The battery is very good. The manual says one cycle can lasts more than two or three weeks. My old electric shaver couldn't hold longer than one week. It's super product from Norelco. Highly recommended!

Strengths: Very good battery life. Much smoother shave than the older models. Very quiet operation.
Weaknesses: Needs to charge for at least 4 hours before the first use.
Summary: Norelco Smarttouch shaver is a vast improvement over the previous models. It covers more area and offers a quiet and smooth shave. It is especially recommended for those with sensitive skin. But if you are looking for that closest shave, still it is no match for the blade

Strengths: extremely close shave, awesome battery life, very quiet
Weaknesses: honestly, im not a big fan of the blue color. the black one looks so awesome, but is only available in the more expensive, self-cleaning, lcd shaver
Summary: my search for the perfect shaver is over! the winner: norelco smarttouch. anything in this review holds true for all the different models of smarttouch shavers, so i wont be biased to the one i own. i picked the 9160XL because it doesn't have self-cleaning, which i would never use, and it doesn't have the LCD, which is totally unnecessary, and it is significantly cheaper, while giving the same quality of shave.
when i decided to switch from a blade to electric, i tries different shavers, thanks to their 1 month trial periods. i started with braun and panasonic foil shavers, but i wasn't happy. i switched to rotary, and i was very pleased with the norelco speed xl shaver, so i decided to upgrade to the smarttouch. the rotary action, IMHO, is far superior to a unidirectional foil, especially in my neck, below my chin, where the foil always left a stubble. i was concerned that the rotary might not do a good job with my mustache, but no worries, it shaves it clean.
the battery life is nothing short of amazing. 90 mins, compared to the regular 30 - 40 mins of all other shavers. for the same 1 hr charging time as other shavers. it comes with a 2 yr warranty and a 60 day money back trial, compared to 1 yr and 30 day for other shavers.
trust me, you don't need the fancy LCD, or the cleaning station with expensive cartridges. there is LEDs for everything the LCD displays, so you don't miss anything. so save a few bucks and get the 9160, you wont be disappointed.

Strengths: Fantastically comfortable and close shave. Comfort control settings.Fast shaving time. Superb ease of cleaning and battery life. Very quiet.
Weaknesses: Flimsy carrying case offers little protection and is hard to close.
Summary: This is the very best shaver I've ever owned (I've used several Norelcos and Brauns ). It gives an extremely close shave with very slight to no irritation (occaisonal very slight irritation on neck).Very slight irritation may be due to my putting extra pressure on my neck . It also shaves faster than any other shaver I've had, The battery life is amazing, about 90 minutes. Very highly recommended

Summary: Bought this to replace my husband's Norelco that he has had for over 18 years! So far, he is completely satisfied with the quality and handle of the new version!

Strengths: Very Quite, Quality built, Quick and easy to clean after use and hold a long charge
Weaknesses: Expensive, not as close as a blade
Summary: Bought this SHAVER in spite of the high cost. I thought that it would be equally good for both my face and my head if I spent a little more... I was only half right in that regard. I got good shave for my face but was not impressed with the shave that I got for my head.

Strengths: Easy operation, nice item
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Though expensive but it works great, hope it comes pre-charged which can be used immediately. We have to charge 4hrs prior first usage hmmm. It does very close shaving that your skin looks so smooth after it. Battery life is excellent I use 2-3 times a week & charge in a month. Its easy to clean the blades just flip it and pour tap water. I will recommend this if you are ok with price. There is 3 months money back guarantee by philips.

Strengths: efficient 3-heads, holds a decent charge, trims very nice
Weaknesses: cost, expensive replacement blades
Summary: been using for a week now. works great. shaves clean and smooth.. charge is lasting so far. Feels somewhat solid. Can't comment on quality just yet, but seems pretty good.

Summary: I've had this shaver for about a month now. The shaver has excellent battery life after the initial 4 hour charge. It's also very easy to clean after use. The shave is close and much better than my previous shaver.
