Strengths: Great sound Good volume, often have to turn it down Excellent build quality, doesn't feel cheap Long talk time Very comfortable Fantastic value
Weaknesses: If any maybe wind noise, although foam wind socks are provided
Summary: I recently just purchased a LG 325 bluetooth phone for use on the Sprint network. Originally I picked up a Sony HBH-600 because that was the only headset that they had in the sprint store. I drive a Jeep Wrangler and regardless of what top I have on the Jeep, soft or hard, there is a significant amount of road noise present at pretty much any speed. It didn't take long for me to realize that the HBH-600 was not going to work. Callers complained that they couldn't hear anything I said and when I turned the volume up to a level that I could somewhat hear, they complained that they then heard echos. So began my search for a good bluetooth headset that would work in the Jeep. I purchased a Jabra BT800 and was not satisfied with it at all. Cheap build quality and inferior sound led me to keep looking. From my research I narrowed my choices to the Plantronics Voyager 510 and the Sony HBH-300. No where around me carried either of these headsets so I had to order them on line. I found the Plantronics for $38 and the Sony for $70. Both have excellent build quality, they feel like they would not break if were to drop them. Callers have reported that both provide excellent call quality. I have though, decided to go with the Plantronics Voyager 510 for the following reasons.

The Plantronics feels extremely comfortable in your ear. At times I forgot that I was even using it. In the package you are provided with three different sized speakers that easily attach to the headset. At first I didn't think I would like this headset because I find that stereo earbuds that are inserted into the ear canal to be uncomfortable. The plantronics, however, do not insert into the ear canal, like some jabra headsets, but instead sit comfortably in the ear. Because of this it also provides better volume, I actually had to turn the headset's volume down while driving because it was to loud (and this is in a Jeep!!!) Callers rated both headsets equal in quality on there end, with maybe a small nod to the plantronics headset, a few callers said they could hear that pesky echo again with the sony. The plantronics headset is also much easier to cary on your person, the boom swivels up and the earpiece rotates to make a nice, small, flat package that can easily be placed in a case on your belt, the sony, however, has a non-collapsable boom and because of this is quite large. In the end the excellent build quality, voice quality, sound isolation, and value (only $38), made this the headset for me. Highly recommended.

Strengths: - Easy to connect to Mac and Moto Razr3 - Good sound quality, both listening and speaking, mic provides better directional input - Comfortable
Weaknesses: - Gets choppy when > 10' from laptop - Buttons are not intuitive and very hard to navigate while wearing - Looks like a hearing aid
Summary: After trying both high-end Moto and Jabra models, I decided to go with this one. People couldn;t hear me on the Moto, even when i turned the input level to max. I couldn't even get the Jabra to pair up with my Mac. The 510 worked right out of the box just as advertised. Works great with my cell phone, Skype for Mac, iChat, etc. Definitely recommend this.

Strengths: Sound quality and clarity. It feels stable on/in my ear.
Weaknesses: The voice dial doesnt work with my Motorola E815. I had to get ANOTHER charger.
Summary: I have tried several different bluetooth headsets (Motorola H500, H700, HS850, and Jabra BT350). So far the Plantronics 510 has the best sound. The HS850 has also worked good as far as the clarity but my husband prefers the volume of the Plantronics 510. On the cheaper priced headsets the Jabra BT350 was ok, its a little fuzzy when you talk to someone but for the price its great. Still, my favorite has been the Plantronics 510. Nobody even knows I'm on a bluetooth headset it is so clear. We will definitely buy more.

Strengths: Sound clarity, voice clarity, comfort, battery life
Weaknesses: BUTTONS, BUTTONS, BUTTONS!
Summary: 2007-12-17 19:31:58 Decided on this headset after mulling through pricegrabber.com and picking the highest rated one under $50. After reading the reviews and then using it, the reviewers were dead-on: This headset works great (sound quality), has good range in my small house (almost 30' through walls), is convenient to wear and charge w/ good battery life BUT, the power button it difficult to push. I cannot push it with only one hand and I consider myself dexterous, if that's a word. That wouldn't be such a big deal it I hadn't figured out that you can power on the headset AND answer the phone all in one fell swoop IFF you can get the power button pushed in properly. (I've done this when the phone was in my trunk and in my front pocket while driving.) The volume buttons are not as difficult, but still annoying and the hang-up/answer button is OK. to use once you get the hang of where it is. Comfort for hours on end is not an issue and the headset comes w/ 3 ear adapters that do NOT go into your ear canal.

I would buy this headset again, annoying butons and all. The half boom is sensitive enough for me to voice dial in a quiet voice in the store and does a good job of keeping wind noise down.

This headset will not work with a TRENDnet TBW-102UB bluetooth dongle on a mac. Confirmed by TRENDnet.

Have had this earset for over a year now and I still love it and wouldn't change it's rating. The protective cover for the mic fell off after about 1 year of moderate abuse (it spent a lot of time in my pocket), but I glued it back on with some rubberized superglue (R/C hobby shop) and all is well once more. Nothing has changed with this product and I would not hesitate to replace it with exactly the same thing if this one were to die tomorrow. The buttons are slightly less annoying after having 'broken in,' but don't work easy enough to warrant a 5* rating. But like I said, I'd buy one in a heartbeat if this one died.

Strengths: talk and standby time, light weight, very comfortable to wear, ease of use
Weaknesses: sometimes light "crackling" or "popping" interference noises but am told small amount is expected due to Bluetooth being a radio 2.4ghz standard(didn't know that!).
Summary: This is my first Bluetooth headset. Chose after seeing over 45 reviews(about the single most for any headset under $60) here on pricegrabber, with overwhelming amount being very positive. The first unit I received failed to transfer calls to headset(whether incoming or dialing out)often. After a prompt return and exchange for another unit from good 'ol Newegg, I'm happy to report all is well.

This model is lightweight, economically priced, paired flawlessly w/my cellphone(Samsung "Alias") comfortable to wear (especially given the 3 included mutli-sized ear pieces for customization to ear canal size),long talk & standby time for its price level, overall call clarity, and volume level loud enough to hear calls while driving w/windows down. People on the other end of the call remark I sound loud and clear, with some even saying I don't sound like I'm on a headset.

You can't beat this model for it's price and features. I see other headsets costing a good deal more and not worth the extra $$$!

Lastly I will warn first-time bluetooth users that since it is a standard that works on the 2.4ghz frequency, don't be surprised if some calls are not crytal clear(just on your end)and expect some interference/crackling when near certain other drvice competing for that frequency and/or many electronic devices in a certain very local area you're sitting, etc. I'm told this is typical of ALL bluetooth headsets no matter the price level. Overall call clarity is very good just don't expect same level of clarity as you would actually talking directly on the phone itself.

Strengths: Volume is loud and clear both ways, light weight and comfortable.
Weaknesses: On-Off button can be tricky
Summary: Great Bluetooth headset for the money. Its my first bluetooth headset and my most concern was the volume.

With this headset everyone comes in loud and clear. I use it in

car and around the office.

Strengths: Comfortable. Good battery life. Crystal clear sound (both ways).
Weaknesses: Doesn't fold up well to fit in a pocket, but none of these things do!
Summary: This little guy is just amazing. This is my first Bluetooth headset- and the first headset of any kind I've ever regularly used with my phone (I never could stand those corded ones). I bought it primarily for when I'm in the car, but now I find myself using it all the time, and finding out how many wonderful times it comes in handy. Talking to a friend who wanted someone's number, I was able to go through my phone address book while still talking to him. And being able to roam around the house, or use the computer without getting a neck cramp is priceless. As for this specific model- it works very well, and as advertised. Battery life has been just great, as is reception. It's small and light enough that I soon forget I have it on, and can keep it on pretty much all day. My only complaint is that it doesn't fold up all that well to go in a pocket, etc. But I guess if it did, then it probably wouldn't be very comfortable to wear, so I can't really fault it for that. I don't think I will ever have a phone again without one of these guys nearby.

Strengths: Easy to pair, comfortable, comes with three ear piece options, charges quickly, sound quality is good.
Weaknesses: On/off button is much too hard to press. Could not get to work with PowerBook on first try.
Summary: Based on Laptop Magazine review, picked up this unit (my first ever Bluetooth headset.) It is comfortable, and the sound quality is high. I do wish they would would have designed the on/off control as a slide switch, having to hold down the very small button for three seconds is a pain. Overall though I am very pleased.

Strengths: sound quality, great for noisy environments.
Weaknesses: the on button
Summary: Very comfortable, comes with many different size pads to make it go into your ear comfortably, but will even work good if you don't want to use the ear plug. I've gone through the HS820, HS850, BT800, iogear bt headset and this one beats all the others by a mile.

Strengths: I've been using this since a week and am completely satisfied with the voice quality, weight on the ear, comfort level during extended wear, etc.
Weaknesses: The controls especially the power button does get a bit tedious at times since there's no way to comfortably adjust the volume etc while wearing the set.
Summary: I've had a few head-sets before I purchased the Voyager 510 and must say that I'm completely satisfied. Even for the minor glitches (which could be much worse in comparable sets) this is a great product for the price. Buy it and you'll not regret the decision.

Strengths: Very lightweight and unobtrusive. You barely know it's there and it barely shows to others. Very good voice clairty. Easy to operate.
Weaknesses: On-Off button and volume button too small and difficult to locate while wearing.
Summary: When my husband and I purchased new Razr phones, we also both purchased Voyager 510 bluetooth headsets. Though we've never used a bluetooth headset before and have nothing to compare to, we both believe these are just the best and greatest. Since then, our daughter purchased one and we purchased another one for our son as a gift. We all feel like it's one of the best things we've owned in a long time. We call ourselves 'the Borg' and joke about our 'implants'. We love the blue, blinking light! As far as 'freedom' goes, it is so great to be able to speak on the phone over a very good distance from the phone itself. When I first got it, I left my phone in the house and went clear out to the end of our driveway and was still able to have a conversation. It's wireless capability is essential and outstanding while driving. I would highly recommend the Voyager 510 to anyone wanting wireless connectivity with little effort.

Strengths: Small, Comfortable, Great Sound, long battery life
Weaknesses: Dorky appearance like all BT devices
Summary: I researched which device that I wanted and was pleased with the reviews on this BT Headset. I went ahead and ordered it for under $50 and won't look back.

Highly recommend.

Strengths: Comfortable, good battery time, EXCELLENT Connectivity
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I have been through the Jabra BT250 with complete dissatisfaction. Went to the Jabra BT500 which had great battery life and was extremely comfortable, but got tired of people asking me what I was talking through, if I was in a tunnel, etc. Almost everyone commented on the poor quality of transmission in the other end. Soooooo, I did some research on the Internet and ended up with this Plantronics set. WOW is all I can say. No complaints from anyone, exactly the opposite. Callers saying I am coming in loud and clear. It also manages to not look as dorky as some of the sets on the market. Not to mention the price is unbelievable for such performance.

I have always heard good things about Plantronics technology.... I am never looking back

Strengths: fits nicely comfortable light terrific range
Weaknesses: recharger plug is a little flimsy
Summary: 2005-11-17 06:40:58 I tried this product again. I almost returned it, again, until I realized that there's a tiny on-off switch located just above the volume rocker switch on the behind-the-ear piece. It looks like an LED and (AFAICT) isn't discussed in the documentation. Anyway, if you realize that, then this becomes the BT headset to buy! Besides this, I've tried the Cardio Scale, Jabra BT250, and Logitech Mobile Freedom, and the (Motorola) "Treo 650" headset. This has the best range of any of them, is equal in comfort to the Jabra, and is as good in car AC as the Logitech (the Logitech might be slightly better outside in the wind, but not much). It's a snap to put on, and you don't look (too much) like a dork wearing it. This is a really nice headset!
