Strengths: The thinnest and shortest USB 2.0 PC Card I've ever seen. Sleek.
Weaknesses: Does not come with power cable; Discontinued product; Poor brand
Summary: 2005-08-02 19:41:47 I think the rating factor should be based on how thin and low-profile the card is. I'm tired of seeing all these huge 4 port behemoths or a excessively large 2 port card. Why can't manufacturers cut the visuals and go toward the pragmatic side?
It comes in a plain and cheap box. Upon opening it I found a driver cdrom and the usb pc card itself. The 2 usb ports show poor craftmanship and poor material used, since they used metal outside contacts. However, this doesn't really matter because it is the inner contacts that the signal travels through, and the Trendware card does have gold plated contacts.
This card is even better than the ADS Technologies USB Turbo 2.0 in terms of small size. It's not as sleek as the advertised images found on the web for this product but it is the best looking card I've seen so far. Better than Belkin, USB2Connect, and ADS.
It works plug and play on Win XP. Recommended over other competitors.
