Strengths: Ease of Installation
Weaknesses: Have yet to find one
Summary: I was looking for usb print server that would conform to my standards: price, size, and ease of insallation. Unit is small enough to mount to the side of printer with double face tape. Instructions were clear and easy to read with diagrams. Would purchase product again, and products from same manufacturer.

Strengths: Clear set-up instruction & easy enought for a someone like me to understand and follow.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive way to print from my wireless laptop (while watching TV in the family room), to my USB printer (located in my home office down the hall). Trendmicro TE100PS1U met all the requirements for me. I took it from the box, and thought twice about attempting the installation without reading the instructions. However, ten minutes later, the IP address was assigned, and I was printing wirelessly from anywhere in my house. I have been using the device for over two months and I love it. I highly recommend it and NewEgg.com, my supplier.

Strengths: Compact, easy to setup and use
Weaknesses: Power adapter is bigger than most so it will occupy two sockets unless you use power strip extensions.
Summary: Really easy to configure and use. Out of the box product will work for most users. If you need to change any of the configuration settings the user interface is designed so it's easy to understand. Looks like Trendnet thought of their using audience with this one.

Strengths: Ease of installation
Weaknesses: N/A
Summary: The administration software finds the print server immediately, even though the default IP was on a different segment as my LAN.

Unlike other print servers with which I had to configure weird ports in print manager, with the PS1U I just named the print server and the port (or you can use the default names) and give it an IP (or let your DHCP server do this). Any Windows stations on my LAN can easily connect to it by typing the path as \(print server name)(port name). I can even capture LPT1 ports to this path, for my antiquated DOS accounting system.

2 Star ReviewI like the size of this product but the power plug ...
Strengths: size
Weaknesses: power plug design
Summary: I like the size of this product but the power plug is not designed thoughtfully. It prevents the easy insertion of neighboring power plugs from other equipments on the power strip.
