Strengths: Easy setup, No ghosting, Crystal clear display, Vibrant color
Weaknesses: None that I can find.
Summary: Not having the opportunity to view this monitor, I was a bit worried about what to expect. However, after setting it up, I have been really impressed at what I see. I am using the DVI connection on a Radeon X800XL video card. The colors are right on, and brightness and contrast are great. Amazing refresh rate! I haven't seen any ghosting in games and text is crystal-clear. I have not used the speakers as I prefer using my own. Setup is easy. The stand is steady as a rock and the placement of the control buttons, on the base, away from the screen, is a nice touch. All-in-all I am extremely satisfied with this monitor and would say, if you are looking for a 19” with a fast refresh and great graphic display at an unbelievable price, don't hesitate to buy the Acer AL 1951B.

Strengths: great picture, fast response time, and well built.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Acer corp. makes quality monitors.Mine is one indication of that.On top of how well built it is,the picture quality is beautiful, and it is a great monitor for gamers. And from what I read on acer.com this monitor is a gaming lcd.On top of that,it is very nice to look at even if it is off.Mine came with no dead or stuck pixels. The stand is very sturdy and it supports the monitor well. The buttons are located on the stand, which are very user friendly.I highly recomend this to any one who is looking to switch to lcd.

Strengths: 6ms Response time makes it perfect for gaming. The glossy, bright color just pops!
Weaknesses: No verticle adjustments. No pivot feature. (But how often will you really move it once you set it up?)
Summary: I have always been a big fan of Acer products, and this monitor is no exception. I have an older 19” LCD, and as far as performance, and color quality, the Acer blows it away! Like most others, I was worried about dead/stuck pixels, and I held my breath till it arrived and I had it hooked up. But I didn’t find any dead/stuck pixels on this unit at all. For the money, I really don’t think you can find a better monitor than this one. Don’t think twice…just buy it, and enjoy!

Strengths: not a single dead or stuck pixel. Really low refresh rate
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is about the 10th Acer flat panel that have bought for my business, and they have all been rock solid quality. I have yet to get one with any dead or stuck pixels. They warranty their LCDs for 3 years parts and labor, and their tech support is in the US.

Strengths: the response rate is superior
Weaknesses: price
Summary: it is probably one of the best lcd on the market with the fastest response time. I like it very much. However, it can hurt your wallet because i think it is still too expensive.

Strengths: A solid LCD monitor.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: If my wife likes it, and she does - believe me, this monitor has passed a severe acid test.

I think it's a worthy monitor. The picture is bright, clear and steady with a quick refresh rate.

Strengths: Crisp picture, easy to use jacks located in base
Weaknesses: not as viewable from extreme angles, but doesn't really matter
Summary: This is a great monitor that I've added as the second of a dual-monitor setup with a 17" LG LCD. The slightly outdated LG surprisingly had the best picture of my office monitors but the Acer is even better. They combine great for the dual configuration.

I've got no dead pixels and the jacks are located in the base, rather than flush with the back of the monitor, allowing minimal setup time. Don't know what some of the reviewers were talking about as far as it not being a real DVI input. I've got it plugged into my DVI-in on the video card. I do mostly photo and office documents -- not much video at all so I can't speak to that. But the refresh time seems quick enough for that type of work.
