Strengths: Many features-TV tuner, FM, DVD software, PVR with remote--for a very reasonable price. Paid $53 after rebate which is about 1/2 the price of comparably featured cards. Weaknesses: Not a weakness per se just a caution-- you must have a sound card to plug UltraTV's audio line out into. Summary: Overall, I've been very satisfied with this card & software. Great feature set for the money. Had minor problem with setup (TV card would not initialize) but Avermedia tech support responded next business day with suggestion to remedy--change the PCI slot--this worked & UltraTV booted right up. Picture quality is not as good as I would like, but I think this is due to my cable connection--possibly old coax feed. 100% of People (3/3) found this review helpful. I backed up my VHS tapes in 10' after opening it. The steps for use are easy. The quality of image from VHS can range as much as you want it. Radio is excellent. TV, not so much. Weaknesses: I have a TV antenna & reception is not as good as in TV, I guess it works best with cable I guess. Summary: Nonetheless, I love this little thing. I mostly use it for turning VHS tapes into DVDs. The quality of image and sound is amazing. A plus is that nothing can interferes with the remote. Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you?
