Strengths: Reliability, ease of use, will take 4" or 8" spools, comes with everything you need to start welding right out of the box. Low cost
Weaknesses: Does not have an internal fan. 15% duty cycle restricts high amp welding time.
Summary: I've been using this welder for 3 years without any maintenance requried. Very durable and will shut down automaticaly if you reach its limits to prevent damage to the internal parts. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and your off welding again. I have compared this welder to other name brand units and find that you get quite a lot for your money and you don't have to pay more for the name. It's very easy to load the wire spool and the feed rate stays steady. I have built trailers, cranes and repaired numerous pieces of equipment with it and it's still working great. You can't beat it for portability and it will run nicely with a 35 amp portable generator and 10 gage extension cord. The only draw back I have about this machine is that it does not come with an internal fan. However, you can easily add one for longer welding times. I just wish they made a 200 amp version.
