Strengths: fast burns 16x, no coasters

Summary: Excellent media for making backups and storing important information. Manufacturer code is MCC004, which is considered first quality (or best available quality). If you find them on sale (or need to make reliable burns) then don't hesitate to buy. I've bought other cheaper (unknown) brands and quality has been third or fourth (the worst). Don't waste your money and buy Verbatims. Verbatim changed to other manufacturer for a short while, but went back to first quality. No regrets in buying from them today.

Summary: 2006-10-30 18:48:50 This is my preferred DVD brand. After trying Imation, Maxell, GQ, Sony, Ridata, OfficeMax, Office Depot, Nexxtech, memorex, and others, I will stick with Verbatim. simply put, it saves time, expense, and difficulty with trouble free, reliable burns. Another significant difference is that this product carries a limited lifetime guarantee, which many other brands do not.
added note: If you have a choice, the 50 pak containers have
given me better results than those packaged in the 100 pak, but this is more applicable to the DVD-R16x. The DVD+R16x is more consistent between the 100 pak and 50pak versions. What you need to look for are scratches on the underside of the media toward the outside edge and flaws in the dye visible with the naked eye with a flashlight in the 100 pak. So far, with the 100 pak dvd+r16x this has not been a problem, but can be with the 100 pak dvd-r16x. I offer this for comparison purposes, as I have found the +R to be consistently better quality than the -R in 16x.

Summary: I have burned about fifty of these disks without a single problem. Verbatim is one of the best companies for writable
media and this product lives up to the expectations. These disks burn reliably at 16X and have a nice silver surface with lines for labling.

Summary: Verbatim is my brand of choice for DVDs and CD-Rs. Nothing but praise for this brand. Most of my disc were readable in dvd-players in my house. I have burnt hundreds of verbatim DVDs and only a few came out unreadable. Disc label is great, leaves enough space to white and does not damage easily. Highly recommended!

Strengths: twenty burns and all good
Weaknesses: none, so far
Summary: I have just started using a dvd burner and I knew the media is just as important as the drive. I chose this brand based on reputation. I read the reviews and had the opportunity to get a good deal. I have a Sony 810A and so far there has not been any problems. They are little more scratch resistant than the recordable CD I have.

Strengths: One of a few media on the market right now that can burn at 18X

Summary: Media code: MCC 004
Burn Speed: Up to 18X with Samsung SH-S182M
I've used Verbatim brand media for over 2 years and couldn't be happier! All the Verbatim media I've used has been MCC. Burned consistently at 16X with NEC 3540A (with F/W 1.WB) and 18X with Samsung SH-S182M (with F/W: SB00). So far there has been no coasters. Qualtiy scan with Nero CD/DVD Speed was great too!

Strengths: Have not had a bad disc yet. Have burned over 100 discs.

Summary: These discs work great in my NEC drives for both data and video. The price is very reasonable if you watch for them on sale. The top surface is nice for writing on and the discs seem very durable.

Summary: I bought these DVD discs when they were on sale. And Verbatim means quality! I love these discs. So far, I have burned more than 30 copies now and there is not a single failure. I would recommend them to anyone who wants high quality DVD discs.

Summary: Great value and best buy compare to other brands. Movies recorded are clear and look sharp like original. So far, no wastage of media when recording movies/ music. I would recommend Verbatim anytime to friends and family especially when they are on sale (paid about $20 for 100 pieces after mail-in-rebate and they're pretty good with honoring and processing the rebate).

Summary: I had no problem burning DVDs at 16x. No coasters. No complaints. Would buy this again. I didn't check the error rate with a dvd test tool, but they made good copies of a Linux distro, anyway.

Summary: 2006-10-03 15:33:04 I have purchased some other brand dvds as I love to burn dvds. but I got some problems with my old dvds after I burn it and keep using it. When I read reviews and purchased verbatim, I felt it is the right choice for burning. Disc label is great & does not damage easily. So far I have burned 55 dvds and no problems at all. Even. Though they are little bit over priced, I am happy with the quality of the disks overall.

Summary: I had a nec nd-2500a dvd burner. This is my first time I use Verbatim disk. I burned 10 disk and had 0 defect so far. I am very happy with it. I tried both +/- R office depot disk and none of them work for my burner.

Strengths: Dependable. Works with all DVD burners. Low rate of coasters.

Summary: Verbatim is a trusted brand name. I have used hundreds of them (half DVD+R, half DVD-R), and have had few coasters (some may be due to user technical difficulties). To summarize,they are dependable, high quality, can be consistently be written at 16x by every DVD burner I have (NEC, BenQ, LG) and cheap (when bought with rebate).
