Strengths: i like the price and the slim features offered since all i want to do is learn to play the piano with the real feel.
Weaknesses: the sound may not be as authentic but unless you're a true pianist it's hard to tell the difference. you can hook it up to a stereo to boost the volume.
Summary: i looked for over 3 months for a digital piano and every store i went to, had this on display. the other models from yamaha and others didnt have the same feel. for the price, the design is very solid and the keys have that authentic feel to it, and shaped properly as well. i saw lower end models but they were flimisly made and not too impressive. this one can be mistaken for a real upright piano if it werent for the buttons listed on top. i like the fact that you can hookup a midi connection to it and play more sounds than the builtin ones.

Strengths: Piano sounds are top notch. Quality feel. Very realistic touch. Nice to look at.
Weaknesses: String sounds are pretty generic. The buttons are a little to close to the keys because I have accidently hit them while playing aggressively on a few occations.
Summary: I have to say that Casio has made great strides in sound quality in the last few years. I'm very impressed with the realistic piano sounds and the sold feel of the whole thing. I've been playing piano since I was five and have played many kinds of digital and natural pianos so I can say with certainty that the Casio AP45 has the quality of a much more expensive piano.

Strengths: +Attractive stand, Keys have the perfect weight, PRICE!
Weaknesses: -Sound can be better.
Summary: I was looking for a solid entry level digital piano. The Casio AP45 fit my needs perfectly. The sound is reasonable for the price(999.00). You do get what you pay for as there are times when notes would sound "muddy". I usually found that when playing many notes fast that they wouldn't sound very clear. Other then that I have no complaints.

Strengths: price. Before investing big bucks on a new or used piano, this is the perfect starting point for all new players. Size: very manageable if you wish to move in room
Weaknesses: my kids feel a "slight" difference in the weight of the keys compared to their teachers piano
Summary: price rules here. a real bang for the buck..not a huge financial committment if your child wishes to switch to guitar in a few years!!! would resale well!! would purchase again
