 Great lamp...terrible service Strengths: Lamp is actually really nice

Summary: I ordered this lamp from the Home Depot web site. It was initially on back order and in about 2 weeks it shipped out. When it arrived, the box looked like it was hit by a truck. It had obviously been shipped to someone else and they had returned it because it was damaged. When we opened the box, the glass from the shattered light bulb fell out. The base of the lamp was badly dented and scratched. There were return authorization numbers written on the side of the box so obviously some other dissatisfied customer had shipped it back. When I called about returning the lamp, the customer service rep was less than helpful and finally said that she would send a RA and a return shipping label. Several months later it has yet to appear. I finally went to the store, bought the same lamp, put the damaged lamp in the new box, and returned it to the store. I know that this is less than ethical but at the time I really didn't care. I will NEVER order from Home Depot ever again. I am a regular on line shopper and have never had such poor service...Stay away!
