Strengths: Small and light, hours of music, great for working out
Weaknesses: Wish battery life was a bit longer.
Summary: I bought this mp3 player based on my needs. I wanted something that had great sound, was small and light, I could use to workout, enough music for a cross country plane ride, and would not skip during vigorous exercise. This player met and exceeded ALL of my expectations. The FM tuner is also surprisingly clear. No matter what other reviews say, this player DOES NOT skip. If you do your research then you would know this is a flash memory player. Flash memory players do not skip b/c there are NO moving parts! This is a great player for the price and you will not be disappointed.

Strengths: Very compact and great sound quality. Attached carrying case to armband and works great for even intense workouts. Longer earpiece wire allows for more convenience than earlier models.
Weaknesses: Battery life is better than most but not 15 hours as is advertised.
Summary: This is a great product for the money. I have always been partial to the YEPP product line because of the players' mobility and price range. With the new added features of 256k, voice recording, fm tuner, cd and radio recording and encodes it right to mp3's on the player, i was amazed at all the things the player could do. Even during intense workouts the player never skips and comes with a case that completely encloses the player allowing it not be scratched as easy as earlier models. The price is still lower than most compact mp3 players and offers you so much more, as in being able to listen to the radio when you get tired of the songs. No software needed to upload songs because it is just a simple USB storage device. OVERALL: A+++

Strengths: Does it all- Music, Voice recorder & FM Radio
Weaknesses: User Manuel- Not clear in a variety of ways and in some ways inaccurate.
Summary: Aaah, technology! Extremely small & lite yet crams in hour of music, radio and voice recording. Once you take some time to play with it, it's easy to use. Uploading music is a snap. But, be careful! The music files you're uploading need to be in MP3 format!! Voice recording and FM radio use are a snap also. The sound quality is good, but not CD quality. A great product.

1 Star ReviewThe Samsung YEPP is a piece of junk. First one I ...
Strengths: Small, lightweight
Weaknesses: Skips during vigorous exercise (ie: on machines @ healthclub), horrible customer service
Summary: The Samsung YEPP is a piece of junk. First one I bought skipped whenever I used the treadmill or eliptical machine at the healthclub. Sent it back to Samsung -- after waiting two weeks to get a new unit, I called and was told my unit was "lost," at the Samsung shipping dock. I then received a "reconditioned," unit (not a brand new one). Customer service was unacomodating at best, nasty and incompetent at worst. I will never buy another Samsung product again.
