Addonics Zebra Snap-in Mobile Rack ZSNESU does not work as advertised

Weaknesses: It does not work

Summary: Product is made in China. Rear and front panels are made of flimsy cheap plastic. When I inserted a brand new Western Digital SATA drive (160 GB) and powered on the rack, the built-in fan started working but the hard drive did not spin up. Repeated re-seating of the drive did not help. This same SATA drive works fine when installed inside my PC (Dell OptiPlex 755). It's a shame the rack electronics does not work because the concept is good, and the aluminum enclosure is very sturdy. This product is a disappointment.
