Strengths: Small design, good signal range, really easy to setup... just plug & play!
Weaknesses: Need to be reset from time to time...
Summary: Actually, I didn't need any documentation, so I can't really put as 'weaknesses'... I have pretty much all my wireless system Linksys brand, so I guess that helped me with the 'plug & play'... but so far so good... the 'resetting' thing isn't just happening with this game Wi-Fi though... happens too with my desktop PC... so probably is something 'wrong' in the network itself... besides that... GREAT!!!

Strengths: Easy set up...worked right out the box. Sleek design, worked just as promised.
Weaknesses: Poor documentation, could have had better set up info. Don't bother hooking it to your router first, it was useless step, only do it if you have a problem finding your wireless router.
Summary: Set up first told me to hook into my router and use the installation CD in my PC. Well I walked through it two times and it said configuration failed. So I said screw this, and jsut plugged it right into my PS2.
I never onlined gamed before, so put in Tiger Woods 2005, and selected online play. PS2 walked me through the set up, and the wireless adaptor found my SMC Barricade right away, and it was literally plug and play after set up. I was able to online game, and all was well.
I wasted 15 minutes trying to configure hooked to my PC and it turns out I didn't even need to do it. I'd only do this if you have trouble once initially plugging into your game unit. But overall, this thing works great, and it saved me running a network cable 100 feet and drilling holes in floors, running through basement, etc etc.

Strengths: It works great - game can be in another room
Weaknesses: user manual is poor.
Summary: We are glad to have this wireless game adapter because we can play the game in different rooms. The set up was a little confusing because you don't need to use the disk unless you want to change the adapters original configuration (which is for internet play, not head to head).

Strengths: Good connection if you are running all wireless G equipment.
Weaknesses: Setup was difficult, but mostly due to my own error.
Summary: The setup was a bit wired, but than again the instuction explained exactly what to do, I was just going gun-ho. I though I would be able to plug it into my router from there and configure it, which I though I did yet when I plugged it into my PS2 I could never get connected. However after time wasted on troubleshooting, I finally went back to the instructions and the instructions clearly say to plug it into your computer and configure if from there. After doing it the correct way, I was connected and playing Maddend 05 in no time.

Strengths: Very durable and easy to setup. Strong reception.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: 2004-08-31 20:47:36 Very strong reception. The bridge is really easy to setup and I've never experienced any loss connection. Lag free gaming with the speed up to 54 Mbps. Very recommended for Playstation 2 online gaming.

Strengths: Provide wireless access to XBOX live
Weaknesses: Difficult to set up and use with wireless security options.
Summary: The WGA54G does provide a wireless interface for the XBOX but has a problem working with WEP. Worked with Linksys support several times for several hours and was unable to get WEP working. If you do not mind having an unsecured wireless network the adapter work well.

Strengths: simple to use
Weaknesses: very bad performances
Summary: Using the WGA54G I had the intuition that there was a performance problem and run some test using
ping.
The results are frightening !
I compared the linksys WGA54G connected to my ethernet interface with a netgear PCMCIA device using a linksys AP: WRT54GS and at a distance of 2 meters):
from 0 to 8k, results are similar.
at 16k the WGA performance drops 20% below.
at 65k I did measure 30% packet loss (for 1% with my PCMCIA card)
This means that the WGA54G has not only weak performances as soon as data transfers does not just consists of some texts transfer (i.e. could be used for chatting ?) but it will also debase all your network performances re-emitting a third of data transfered !!!
... the advertising is not lying, but ....
therefor linksys and the retailer refused me to return it

Strengths: This is so much faster than Wireless-B! If you've been using the old 802.11b technology, you don't know what you're missing! Now is the time to upgrade to something better to make gaming awesome.
Weaknesses: None!
Summary: This is so much faster than Wireless-B! If you've been using the old 802.11b technology, you don't know what you're missing! Now is the time to upgrade to something better to make gaming awesome. Extend your home network to another part of the house. Take your XBox to another TV in the house and still play XBox Live. Don't have wireless built into that old laptop? Why pay for a brand spanking new laptop or even a wireless card, when you can just as easily make a wireless port somewhere else in the house.

Strengths: Easily Setup, good range.
Weaknesses: None thus far.
Summary: This product was purchased to network a ReplayTV unit, though it will work for TiVo or any device that requires an IP address. While advertised for game units, think of it as a cheaper version of the Linksys Wireless G bridge. It has one ethernet port in the back which is exactly what I needed. No need to shell out extra bucks for the full bridge unless you need more than one ethernet port.
Note that to configure it, you'll want to connect it to your PC first. After configuration (which is painless), you can connect it to your network device and forget about it.

Strengths: Easy hook up, worked right out of the box.
Weaknesses: Loses connection once in a while during an on line game which is rather annoying.
Summary: I purchased this to play Tiger Woods 2005 online. I'm pretty familiar with wireless networking, so was excited for online gaming. Hook up was easy. I just hooked up to my PS2, went through PS2's online set up, and within 3 minutes I was ready to go.
It works about 90% of the time, but every once in a while during gaming, it loses connection, and has to to restart. It saves where you were, and normally you can rejoin the game, with things saved, but normally your playing partner has bailed.
I have Linksys' newest router with B & G capaability, so it wasn't the routher, just one of them wireless things...I get the same issue on my wireless laptop, just the technology.
Still, I'd recommend it.
