Looks nice, but performs poor.
Strengths: Looks nice. Good battery life. Pairs nearly with any phone. Easy to operate. Allows you to stream calls and music to your car stereo.
Weaknesses: Poor microphone quality. Do not reconnects as advertized when connection is temporarily lost - needs complete reset.
Summary: 1. The device have tag that states that it is Jabra SP700, but when connecting to the other bluetooth device it shows up as CSR-bc5.
2. When it looses the connection with the phone and after reconnects automatically, it rejects incoming calls, saying "no connection" (the ring comes through, you tap the button - "no connection" and call is rejected). Needs to be shut the prower down and then up every time to be able to receive the calls again.
3. When I turn it on and the connection with my Nokia 5610 Express Music phone is established, the phone automatically switches to the Music player and starts playback. To switch playback off, every time I need to take the phone out of the bag, unlock the keys, switch to Player and pause the playback. It is very annoying, as I'm connecting and disconnecting the Bluetooth speakerphone several times a day. Nokia's Tech Support responce was: "when you pair a mobile device to a Bluetooth car speakerphone; it should not automatically activate the playback option within the Music player feature of your mobile device. However, the issues that you are experiencing, are an indication that your Bluetooth Jabra car speakerphone is not completely compatible with your Nokia 5610".
4. I've attempted to update software/firmware on my device to version 1.04.20080822, but the device doesn't allow to do that - when connected to the PC (Windows XP Home SP3) through USB, it don't show up at all. And it doesn't switch to the Software Upgrade mode as described in the User Manual - there is absolutely no effect to pressing the required buttons in required sequence.
Does that mean that I've got a fake device?
