Strengths: Phenomenal presentation; In-depth career mode; official licenses; excellent ball physics
Weaknesses: No online play
Summary: There's no two ways about it. FIFA 2004 is a MUST for any fan of soccer. EA Sports has made this series a long-standing success for almost a decade and has once again managed to improve upon the previous edition. This game has the gorgeous presentation, official team and player licenses, and realistic player modeling that we've grown to expect from this series. However, this edition has an added in-depth career mode that is sure to keep you busy for quite some time. You pick a team to manage, sign a contract, and earn prestige points by winning games which are used to increase your reputation and enhance your team. The ball physics have also been tweaked in this game to make things even more realistic than they already were. Overall, a very impressive presentation that you can't afford to miss out on.

Strengths: Number of Teams, Stadium Atmosphere
Weaknesses: No online play or updates, practice mode
Summary: FIFA Soccer 2004 for Xbox is a solid soccer game. The graphics are decent and stadium sound is outstanding with the different songs/chants for different countries. Prior to the release of Winning Eleven in 2005, this was the best soccer game for the Xbox, but has been surpassed by the 2005 FIFA Soccer which includes online play. The game is difficult to get the hang of at times and the controls aren't absolutely perfect, but overall this is a very solid effort on the part of EA. This game is more of a true simulation rather than arcade like (such as NHL HITZ/NFL BLIZ) sports games, but definitely recommended for soccer fans.
